I think I am the only one here so far with this very strange and annoying problem with the mule.

Everytime i start it up and connect to a server, winthin a minute the bitch freezes up the whole computer.
I have to wait for about 10 minutes before the computer breathes some life back to be able to restart, while the mule is lying there dead.
I have uninstalled - re-installed - uninstalled to an older version that i never had problems with and updated my nic card drivers.
Still the same chit.

I did have some weird problems in the last month and a half with the mule just killing my internet connection after sometime online but now this crap.

I am thinking it maybe something to do with the new Zone Alarm update but chit I ain't shutting that off and I always had ZA working with the mule in the past with no problems.

Anyone else out there having this damn muther f*cking problem It's pissing me offfffff

to have emule freeze up that much personally i think it may be trying to hash all your files at every restart....i used to have that problem with previous mods but never had it with the current ones :wacky:

what client are you using....exact version/mod or original....might help us find out where the isue lies :)

also i personally hate zone alarm and wouldn't install that piece of crap on any of my machines (had issues with that a long time ago) but each to there own

OK sounds similar to this <a href="http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic.php?t=3857" target=blank>thread</a> :

Which I/spud replied :

I've not experienced these symptoms as such!

But after my recent format every single version of eMule I loading would bomb out in the exact same way as you are mentioning except that it was on instant connection to a server.

eMule would sit there happily for hours idle, but as soon as I clicked connect it bombed out :?

The fix that worked for me was to fully update my windows 2000 with all the service packs and windowsupdates!

I have no idea what fixed it but I kept logging on to windows updates till all were completed and then eMule worked :wacky:

So are you upto date on your patches?

maybe some-one knows more information, but thats my advise, it worked for me

screamster is correct. Such symptoms indicate messed up dll files, which is normally from installing unsigned junk that isn't needed on your system in the first place.

Try and download the full emule standard installer, get your dlls file back on your system and then plonk sivka back if that your posion

You sound like me when i hear someone say they got AOL

I was using verson 42g when the problem started than when back to an older version Pawcio .30e.

I just found out that there are a few people having the same or similar problem at this link :
http://forum.emule-project.net/index.ph ... opic=46749

No solution has been found yet though.

Now i will go over to the windows updates page and download all the updates there to see if it helps but my feeling is it won't.

Well that didn't worky.as i thought..
I just did a reg. clean thinking that maybe there was something in there that was conflicting with the mule... maybe???
will see.
