Someone tipped me about this app, and I wondered if anybody had tried it. It combines eMule/Bittorrent/Gnutella and other networks in one app. Sounds a litle too good to be true, but I've heard it works.
Not that I'm not satisfied with eMule.. hehe, but this could just happen to be the future!

I tried it a looooong time ago but wasn't satisfied!

Although nowa days I see ALOT of shareaza clients on queue in my mule so maybe the latest build is good?

Although I'd beleive that, as in all things, when you combine things, you lose out on functionality/features etc etc.

Best sticking to the single apps that are designed to do the function they serve!

Ideal for newbies maybe?

shareaza has recently released as open source software so hopefully this leads to improved reliability. From what I've heard, shareaza doesn't implement the different p2p networks in exactly the same way as the native clients, which means it doesn't really play nice. from the comments at slashdot...

Quote:
Bram Cohen has complained that Shareaza's BitTorrent implementation is terrible. Gnutella developers have complained that Shareaza's Gnutella implementation is outdated & that it wrongly sends tons of "Gnutella2" packets to clients that don't want them.

so use it with discretion. it could be nice to be able to download a file from multiple p2p networks simultaneously.

Sounds like just what I said, you get an all in 1 package but not the most effective tool to do each job!

I think it could be the future as you sayDrixXx, and certainly would make downlading alot simpler then having all those different apps open at same time.

But for today, I think it's not the best appraoch :(

I had the same problem after trying Shareaza. Download the ed2k_link_killer here http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/ ... show_topic It worked for me
