i want to upgrade my emule. i know how to import the part files over, but i am wondering what i must copy to maintain my credits, etc., with this new version. Is it possible to copy the settings over too?? in the past i've just put everything back in manually.

Updating from an earlier version of eMule:
The best way to do this is simply to download the .zip file (not the installer), and unzip the new emule.exe to your old emule directory, overwriting the previous one.
That's taken from the readme.txt and is pretty much what I do. I also update the changlog and the other .txt files. All your settings will be the same.

That's the way I do it too, with the minor difference that I rename the older emule not overwrite because you never know if the new version will be shite
