how do i make sure that as much as possible of my u/l bandwidth is used to spread a movie i'm releasing, rather than just random stuff in downloading or sharing?

The priority of the file is already on high, and i know about friendslots; is there anything else i should be doing?

first things first...what client are you using?

the best for releasing files are clients with powershare option,MorphXT being my choice but there are others available

with the powershare option you can push all your bandwidth to that one file (or more if needed) and makes it far easier to spread

i was just looking up powersharing on edonkey.com (i use edonkey 1.0.2) but i still want to be able to download stuff too(?) my u/l is set to 12.5kb/s at the moment, is there a way to 'reserve' that 12.5k for the file i'm releasing?

you are gonna have a lot of problems releasing files using edonkey IMO as many emule clients can never connect to edonkey if you seriously want to release a file on the network so everyone can access it it's best to use eMule

ok, im now running emule 0.44b, no downloads, just sharing my releases, i checked the emule hash with the original edonkey hash and its the same so i don't think i'll need to re-post it(?)

But if you still want to download as normal i strongly suggest you use an emule mod like MorphtXT or ZZUL that can give you the option to powershare but still download other files at the same time
