Hi,

I just recently installed Firefox 1.0.1 over 1.0.0
(probably should?ve deinstalled the old one first i know)
with 1.0.0 everything was fine but with the new one i can
only run one instance of it at a time. Before i could open
several Firefox windows with several Tabs each without any problems.
After closing Firefox i can?t start it again and have to shut down the firefox.exe
in windows task manager manually before i can start _one_ new instance of it again...
Think thats the so called phantom fox bug i read about on the mozilla forums.
The really annoying part of it is that when clicking on links that would open
a new window nothing happens. Similar to this i can?t open any popups
or javascript pages even with popupblocker deactivated in configuration anymore.

I?ve several extensions and one theme installed (e.g. FlashGot, downTHEMall,
GooglePreview and so on) but as said earlier with v.1.0.0 everything worked fine
with the same extensions/theme.

Is someone here having similar problems or even a solution to mine?
I?m counting on the experts of this very nice community

solved it :beerchug:

for anyone interested thats what i did:
removed all the extensions manually from hd (cleared the folder)
then re-installed them.

Now everything works like a charm

Yeah, that's the problem with firefox: when you upgrade, your extensions are usually not compatible with the new version and can really fuck it up. Glad you were able to solve it. :)
