Ok, I just recently joined the eD2K community by getting eMule. I have been a loyal bittorrent user for about 2 years and I have come to realize the benifits of using a P2P client as well as bittorrent.

Now my question is.. What is the advantage of using a mod, and which ones are the best? I would also like to know if mods are compatible with mobile emule.

Thanks in advance,
LR2

I'd say that there are several advantages of using mods, but which one's for you depends mainly on your connection and what are you aiming for. There are also individual cases -- not every mod behaves the same on the same machine with the same settings and the same connection (that's the magic of the PC world). Several (probably more now) mods are also banned becuase of aggresive or simply damaging for the network behaviour, but they're easy to spot.

In general and from my experience I'd say that MorphXT is The Mod, specially if you want more control over your upload and are into releasing stuff. It's also usually up to date, has a stable dl/ul (there are individual cases, but the current is very stable) and of course it has the Mobile Mule function. What I'd recommend is to give several mods a try and then choose which one works for you best.

Okay, to break through some of the misconceptions. You won't really get a speed increase, its pretty much an illusion as union hints at.

However, it does allow you advanced features that give you a lot of control. I use the aforementioned MorphXT. And old version still but it doesn't seem to make much difference given that its reaching optimimum as far as key features go.

As long as you upload enough of the right files, I've noticed you get stuff back just as fine.

Yep, I use MorphXT aswell. I like it because it is much easier to get the uploads to go how I want them too.

I always found the official client, for me atleast, used to try to do stoopid shit like have 30 upload slots when I was only uploading at 32K.

I can recommend the Ionix Mod - because it has a very good Antileech system in it. I hate nothing more than waste my expensive Upload at Leechers. :matrix: The Antileech from Morph isn`t as good as the one from ionix. Bout the slots I?m sure - but I think ionix opens as many slots as the Official version.

no Prob - just a second - I?m searching for it ..........

Latest Version is the 4.22
http://kademlia-net.de/koobi4/index.php ... 1&parent=3
there you will find the Version - and I think in the rar Paket is the whole changelog - I love the AntiLeech Feature because this one the really best
- and bans about 90% of the leechers.
