If you're using a DSL router, you will probably need to forwrd ports.

If it's yellow it's not the end of the world, you'll still download.

You just have to wait until you get to the top of someones queue.

emule is best left on 24/7, don't expect to start it up for a couple of hours and get blinding speeds.

Well the router thing is basically that software connects to a computer on a port, which is a software communication channel. Your router blocks ALL of these ports, which means that people can't connect into you, but you can connect into their port.

So you need to go into your router, usually:
http://192.168.1.1
and then look for NAT and then open ports that you have set under the "Connections" tab in preferences. There's detailed guides for most routers at http://www.emule-project.net

Bring up a command prompt and then type: ipconfig
It will show you what ip the router has assigned to the computer you are on.

Start-up a few more files. 30 or more. Try to pick popular movies you would like to see. If you have a lot of highly sourced files, you should see good speeds relative to your connection. Only having a couple low source files will show speeds like you are getting now. Better to leave emule running with a load of files all the time, and before you know it you have more than you can watch.

Amen to that :beerchug:

I'm on NTL 1Mb, i d/l at around 70-80KB.

It all depends how many sources there are for a file, you only d/l at the speed someone is upping.

Eevrything between 0,01 kb - about 120 kb with a shitload of files on queue. Give it some time. Some movies i've downloaded in a day, some kept me waiting for over a month
