i would love if our community could contstruct something like the anime database... http://www.anidb.net

it's a great way to keep track of your entire anime collection online, and i bet it would translate well into old cheesy horror flicks too. it's so easy to find ed2k links off everything too.

I dunno, if you mean users submitting movies, take a look here:
http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic.php?t=1626

or is it about linking movies together or something. I did add a feature on each movie that allows users to submit reviews and related links.

ie. review evil dead2 and link to Army of Darkness by posting the http://dead-donkey.com/modules.php?etc. url

I have just started to use EMM, but find it a little confusing I must admit.. Hope it gets better.

for a poster? 2nd button->paste image from clipboard is the easiest way or even simpler hit the big button underneath the poster that says "PASTE CLIPBOARD" :D

That way you can just find an image, copy the image (not the image url) and then paste the info from the clipboard. You can also crop and what have you, and paste it in on the fly.

Is that what your meaning?

Yeah - every time I hit 'Copy' on the JPEG then hit Paste in EMM, it tells me the image "isn't valid". If I hit Cover Manager, I'll choose the photo, click "Take Selected" and it STILL won't show up. Getting a tad frustrated. :?

your image isn't valid then, make sure your clipboard isn't corrupted or being replaced.

Only time it says invalid image one me is when I have accidently clicked "copy image link" instead of "copy image"... and that's me not reading and clicking the right option in opera.

Hmm, never mind. Seems to have been a corrupt entry. I made a new entry and tried again using the exact same photo, worked just dandy

what's nice about the anime db is that it allows you to keep a personal list of your own anime collection, accessible through the server. you can keep a small note about each episode, and it has a spot for the label of whatever CD you have it stored on.

it's probably similar to some of the software options that people are mentioning here... i'll have to try them out.

Ah, yeah, we just use software/notepad on this site!

Spud has trouble enough getting people to visit the main page from this forum, so if he did implement something like that then, I think no forum users would use it

yeah it would sure be a bunch of work to implement. notepad does the job just as well, or even *gasp* an excel spreadsheet.

I've tried the programs mentioned here, but then I found this little gem - http://www.imdbgrab.tk/. I use it by entering all the recent movies I've downloaded from a notepad document, then let the grab do it's work. Some movies aren't found from imdb first time because of the variety under each title there. However perserverance with manually entered imdb links work a treat - then it's just a matter of exporting the information to excel.

I like the fact it can work on loads of movies at once, and the export feature into excel is a nice feature.

I store ed2k hash, file info and shit loads of other stuff beside name and imdb, which is probably why I use EMM.
