The one drawback I can see from Pawcio is that it wants to share everything...seems priority is a none issue even with the powershare feature going. You would think that the files I have on release and powershare would be the ones going out the door..but that doesn't seem to be the case..read all through the guide and everything...maybe it is just me and my connect. That is the only downside I have really ran into with this mod.Any suggestions?I mean beyond sticking my dick in the damned computer ports :P

One thing i will say for emule, though i don't know if this is symptomatic of pawcio or emule in general, is the impressive amount of time i've managed to run it without a reboot because of drained system resources. I managed to run it for 42 hours solid alongside some heavy surfing, Photoshop and Soundforge usage, mp3 listening and movie watching. After all this my system resources where at 61% this morning, when i felt i OUGHT rather than HAVE to reboot. I have far from a speedy 'puter by todays standards, but i have to say that this is impressive stuff. On Overnet, eD2000, and dare i say it........Kazaargh, i was only getting 24 hours max runtime before my system crocked.

Thanks again to people who offered advice. :D

i have now been using "eMule v0.30e sivka v10e9f" (as far as i know the latest sivka mod) for some days. and i must say that for sharing it's perfect. the files you set on release priority get a bonus from 12 hours up to 8 days:

so, basically everyone who wants your file gets an upload slot right away. :D

I went back to sivka for the release reasons...if I was just downloading I would have stayed with Pawcio but it just wasn't comprehensive to my tasks.By the way, this new version of sivka FINALLY fixed the friend slot issue.I have had Death on for about 6 hours and he has grabbed about 300mbs from me,never losing contact. The downside to this though is everyone else is barely able to get anything..maybe a total of 1k at the most to the other 2 slots free while he is getting a constant 10k+.Not that I am complaining...it's doing what it should do and I am a Happy man.

Not even close for that...although I don't have as much up right now..trying to clear off this que list so I can defrag and all that.about 20 out of 80 are sitting in red so that is one reason...but no..I am not hitting at 90k like I was with Pawcio..but the releases are going as they should.I am more downing about 30k+ right now.which is no big deal to me..as long as they complete.I got the 768/128 variety dsl so I am never gonna see anything spectacular.

yeah, I know :?
I could upgrade but then I would be paying an extra 30 bucks a month on top of what I am paying now.If I didn't live where I am at I could just pay the flat 30 and be set..but the apt complex owns the line so I am screwed.
At least my upload situation is worked out now so I can release stuff again...was starting to get worried watching it drizzle out 2kb between 8 people.

Seems my upload problems continued until last night,it has to be the client since now after I switched to slug mod I have complete control over my upload speed, which is something I never really had before.I did a fresh install though with it so I am hoping Finally the problem is worked out...has run steady all night night since I switched. With that said it will probably go into the toilet as soon as this is posted :?

It's only a rumour ATM about the price hike, but it wouldn't suprise me :(

How much is it to put a BT line in nowadays, last time I checked it was HIDEOUSLY expensive :(

yep am stuck on NTHELL as when i moved into my current abode (over 10 years ago!!) there was no BT line and when i enquired they wanted something like close to ?200 4 the install (where they pulled that figure from i have no idea!!) AND they wanted the 1st years estimated bills paid in advance (i believe cause i never been a BT customer b4?!), no amount of haggling would change their mind!!! no idea wot it is now as the initial dealings put me off BT completely!

BTW it cost me like ?5 to get cable installed at the time.
