What I have to do, do I need to connect to any server in the list to be able to download a file from here?

Well what are you using to download? Make sure you're using emule and not edonkey.
Here's a bit off info to help you get started. Be sure to register at the official emule site. Lots and lots of info on there:

I am using emule Morph XT. Their official website:

I normally select the server with the most users. But it doesn't really matter because you can see it like an entire network so everything will be shared among the servers (i hope i explained this correct).
Make sure you've got a nice list waiting in your queue. Let's say about 30 - 50 downloads and leave it on for a couple off days and then check back on it.
You also have to keep in mind that emule uses a credit sytem. So you'll have to build up some credits for yourself by uploading files. The more you uploaded the faster you will start to download.
