how do you mean rename the avi. Keep the original filenames or you piss off the releasers!
If its your own rip, i'd suggest including the name, year and source as a bare minimum, ideally TDX filenames:
Movie.Year.SOURCE.CODEC-RIPPER.avi
No brackets or junk, it just looks ugly and wastes space
Don't change the filename if you've downloaded from elsewhere though, rippers get awfully annoyed if you do that.
If you mean, how can people find an alternative name via search... search searches soley filenames. So if you call it:
Infaction.2005?.DVDrip.Xvid-MasterJoe.avi
It will only be found via anything in that filename. If you call it:
Kansen.2005?.DVDrip.Xvid-MasterJoe.avi
It will only be found via anyting in that filename.
If you call it:
Infection.2005?.Dvdrip.Xvid-MasterJoe.avi
and someone calls it Kansen.avi then it will be found via either.
I suggest calling undubbed versions by the original name or at least the most popular name, and then use localised names for different editions or dubs.
Most people won't though, one of the most annoying things about the Germans is they audio rape a movie, but then keep the english name. That's just retarded!
That what you were wanting to know?
ps. if you tagged a movie like you suggested, i for one would rename the file because personally i find that particular spacesless concatanated mixed case filename very ugly and missing vital information like the year.
