this has started to happen to me lately. Not only in emule, but all other proggys as well. If I rightclick, most of the menu will be black, and only show up if I hold the pointer over each selection (like I've done with 'show comments' etc on this screenshot).

It shouldn't happen though, since I have 256mb ram on my vid card.

Rebooting will fix it, for a while anyway.

Damn annoying

"rebooting will fix it, for a while anyway." ? maybe because it cools ur system down for a while.
maybe your ghraphics board gets too fuckin hot. check the cooler of your ghrapics board - or use some kind of hardwaredoctor to check system temperatures.

Could be a memory problem (shared)
Try downloading a program such as "FreeRAM" which frees up allocated RAM no longer being used.

I think it might be TVtool messing things up. Discovered it happes after I've swithed between tv and monitor a few times.

Also, the cracked version I have (9.5) seams somewhat buggy. Each time I start it up I get a message that display properties has changed and all settings are changed back to default. And if I switch to tv, then back to monitor, the buttons are grayed out and I have to restart the program for it to work again....

All in all, I'm pretty sick and tired of this tvtool shit. I've heard there are alternatives...? All I want is a simple way to turn tv-out on and off, and to be able to adjust the screen size. (meaning the size displayed on the tv. Not just the resolution)

if there's another working crack, that would be cool too. I've yet to find any working keygen. Or, they work for 15 minutes then you get a 'there was a problem with your registration' message and it shuts down.

use a firewall prog like tiny trojan trap, and set it to always block whatever file that confirms the registration again.
i had my soundcard next to my videocard slot and it would overheat and cause problems, not exactly like yours but similar. lot of tv-out cards get surprisingly hot, next time you turn your computer off, touch the card(after discharging static electricity and maybe unplugging it). my old card got hot enough to blister my fingers.

I had the same, but unfortunately this was a long time ago and I don't remember the reason. :( As far as I remember, format c: and clean install help a lot.

hehe, i usualy do that as a last resort if i have the time. i like to see exactly why something is doing something wrong, but the downside of that is my computer is usually just barely managing to do what i want, its always a delicate balance of misconfigured drivers fighting semiinstalled programs into an uneasy truce. and then it deletes all my porn.
