Hey and merry christmas, happy new year and so on to all of you.

I've got a really nice late christmas present. A new faster(!) internetconnection.
The one before was 512/124 kbit/s (i think) and the new one is going up to 26mbit/s!! :) Well, they are saying that, but hey, i'm glad even if it isn't close

I used a program to test some of the bandwidth, and I got 6mbit/s down and 1 up or something like that. I will check with the operator later how fast it is possible for me to have.
Well, I downloaded a movie on Direct connect, just to check how fast it was possible to d/l, and I got up to 700kb/s with another on 250 kb/s + some slow shit at 10-40kb/s.
Yeehaa! I thought. A movie below an hour, that's nice.

Then I tried emule. And here comes the problem. What setup shall I have?
I am atm testing max 300 down and max 30 up. The average speed is around +100kb/s down. I got a speed of 250kb/s last night, but whenever I look it's 100-150.
Ok, it is not bad, but I want MORE! MORE! I know my internet is capable for more.
Please tell me how I should setup the speeds, max-queue and so on to get faster download.
I'm using emule+. I know it's not the best version, but I got stuck with it. Give me some advices for other mods and I will gladly take them. :)

Hope this wasn't to long for you guys to read ;)..

Hope you can give some some advices...

Right I'm going with your 26mbit/1mbit (check your upload, seems very low for T3)

20kb/s would be if you had 256kb/s up, you have 1mbit, you should set it at 80 kb/s at least.

Down: 3328 kb/s
Upload: 80 kb/s

Connections: 8000

Max Queue = unlimited (there should be a check box somewhere)
More you give, the more you get.

No.. The upload isn't 1mbit.. It's atleast 10 i think.. But I don't know if I can reach that of course.

Ok.. thanks, Felt so unsure what I should choose.
Will try 3000 down and 80 up as you said.
I tried to max out the upload before and i got up to 150kbit when i turned it off.:)

How "long" should my ID be? I'm getting 3973312213 atm. Is that good/bad/ok?

Just remember that, as the others said, you will get more if you upload more. Good luck trying to get max speed on the mule tho LOL

heheh.. positive..
you know any better program besides emule then?
It's hard to find what you want in a good speed so long that you finish it...
I have tried most of them, dc, mIRC, kazaa, ftp etc.

There are two possibilities. It's either low or high. Yours is high. High is better than low.

id is determined based upon the accessability to your pc. It is derived from your ip address, no other factors. If your firewalled, you can not communicate and your ip is invalid, hence the lowid. The id refers to the ability to communicate across the edonkey network.

Therefore you just get a highid or a lowid.
