Damn, I seem to be asking for a lot of help lately......

Anyway, recently I'm finding that any DVD's I burn suffer from some pixellation & stuttering during playback. I think I've pinned it down to the burning process as I was watching a disc last night that I'd copied from a retail version and I had the same problems.

I was going to try a head cleaner in the burner and my standalone to try and spruce things up a bit. I also considered updating the firmware for the drive (Pioneer A04). It's just something that's happened in the last 2 months or so, before that it was perfect.

I'm using Datawrite yellow top discs (always been good for me) and Prassi Primo DVD to burn.

Anything else to suggest?

Whenever I have had any problems at all with my burner, updating the firmware has always solved it. That's the best place to start.

Great media and compatability. Very cheap.

I use em for my pioneer 105 and have no problems like you described. You sure its not the re-encoding that screwed up.

I always re-encode to ISO then burn with dvddecrypter

I've updated the firmware to v1.40 and if that don't work I'll try compiling ISO images before burning.

Never used to get these problems :(

Thanks guys.
