Hi, I wonder if any of you guys ripped with Drdivx or DVDX?!
I never ripped a movie but maybe I will soon

Must buy a dvdrom first tho!

Are they any good ?/ quality /easy to use/ fast/ and so on
I think after a quick reading DVDx is better, easier for a lazy guy !

Thx

*ahem*

http://gknot.doom9.org

Only way to go! It's a frontend for all the best programs to use and simply put, has idiot proof step by step "do what I say" guides at doom9. Plus I think everyone else here uses it so there's plenty of help if needed.

I used DVDx in the beginning. In contrast to the Gordian Knot you?ll have to calculate your videobitrate on your own, which often leads to an over/undersized file which is goddamn annoying.
It brings you no speed advantage and the quality of the Gordian rips are better, too.
So if you are some superlazy dude that doesn?t like to read manuals, just install the AutoGordianKnot. There isn?t any prog more easy to use.

i used to use DVDx but in comparison to AutoGK which i now use DVDx sucks if you can't be assed or are confused with the settings of basic gordian knot (like i was  ) AutoGK is the easiest way to go :D
also DVDx messes up on the interleaving always giving the avi a split=yes instead of no when you G-spot the ripped file (whatever that is) but it's not good  so AutoGK all the way 8)
