I've just got my connection upgraded and thought I'd check out how BT and the Mule will run at the same time.
I remember ABC and liking it, is that still good?

I personally like Azureus, earlier releases were real buggy for me, but the newest version has crashed just once for me so far.

Forgot to say, with Azureus you will need the java runtimes too if you don't have them already, about a 15 meg download. It is fairly resource hungry, altho the newest version, 2.0.8.4 I think, is less greedy than previous incarnations.
I like it cos it seems to find so many more sources and downs at a higher speed than other clients I have tried.
One other that I can say is pretty good, and stable, is the Shadows client.

I've only used ABC and Shadows experimental client so my opinion may not be of much use, however I really like ABC. It is a small program that does what it is mean to without any bells or whistles. It uses few resources and has never given me any problems

I concur mr B, shadows client was the first mod of BT I used, and I was impressed.

ABC is the best out of all the ones I've tried, and you might have guessed I've tried most of the ones out there
@TaC and Bass, you are aware that ABC uses shadow client and tweaks it for better performance as the core right?

might not be for you then, its basically a gui for many torrents. If you only download the odd file, there's no need for a container program really

I liked ABC, but after a while it was "just another" torrent client, same as Shodow client. I have not yet found a client that is as fast as Azureus, could be just fluke I dunno yet.

Good BT clients? No, I don't say mldonkey this time. It has some issues with upload. I still use it, but with very large torrents (1 - 6 GB) and when I want to fullfil the 1:1 share ratio I prefer the python client. Started in a screen session, detached and forgotten till the download in completed. I used Azureus only once when I wanted to dl only two files from a large pack. Usually I would not want to use a client which needs graphical output and cannot be sent to the background.
