Hey....love the site, and would love to contribute, but I'm having a tough time getting any sources for the rips posted on the forums. Do I have to be added to someone's friends list to find sources. I'm behind a router but I'm using port forwarding. Thanks in advance, and sorry for my total newbness...

What server are you on? I'm behind a router too, and generally it's harder to get onto the good servers (Razorback, mainly)behind a firewall/router. Or the file you want could be not shared anymore. In that case, find the thread it was posted in, and request a reshare. But be sure to at least leave it in your queue for two days, give it time to find sources.

Just curious, what are you trying to get?

when you connect to a sever (if you wants sources you should be using emule: http://www.emule-project.net), try and connect to one with a low ping but a high usercount. Razorback2 is the best for me, but depending on your geological positioning it maybe another server for you.

When you connect, you should idle for a while. Sources will appear.

In preferences under connections, you should set an appropriate number of connections, you can get help here:
http://www.dead-donkey.com/modules.php? ... Newbie+FAQ

In the little box on the right where it says "My Info", you should have a six plus sting of numbers and "high-id". If you have "low-id", you are firewalled/blocked and will not be able to get sources.

If you're posting in the help section, it's quite obvious you probably got some problem or a question to ask. So please, put more information it the topic title.

*changed thread title*
