Did anyone manage to download this, the official site seems to have removed it from the SF mirrors and I can't find an alternative source. Can anyone give me a link?

GK 0.28.0? That version is pretty old now.

I'm using 0.28.8, i thought this was the latest version? If you need the link to this I'll reup it if need be, I downloaded it two days ago to do Monster Squad in Xvid 1.0 R3

is there any particulars on why its dissapeared from the site? Or has it devolved without reason?

Anyway, I found the official download site from the creators signature @ doom9:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gordianknot/

:)

It's not on the sourceforge site though :(

It's gone without any explanation, the link is there, but the file is missing from the servers.

Looks like I have no choice, GK no longer works for me :(

Anyone know why:

autogknot is an idiot-proof monkey tool, if you know what your doing its crap. I don't want just a one click program, gknot is for people that aren't complete tools. I need control over the AR, cropping, and also application of filters to the avisynth script (apply bob and undot to clean up the source and increase compressability) and autoknot offers nothing to this end. I also need the feedback to see if my tweaking improves the compressability. I use gknot for all my encodes, not just dvd rips.

Autogknot is for monkeys or people that don't want to sit down and maybe do a few encodes to ensure quality is top notch.

@PCA,
completely remove it all, uninstall the codec pack. Reinstall the rip-pack and then the codec pack (and then Xvid 1.0 R3 from koeppi). That hasn't failed on me yet when the program screws up as it resets everything.

Re-rip your dvd (assuming that's what your doing) if that's the problem.

don't think it will make much difference, on the xvid 1.0+ front.

lol i thought that first time, but i guess its handy to hardcore pros
Rendered kind of pointless by nandub's status menu, but i guess not everyone uses dubs and it might give some feedback for them.

Where was I... oh yeah... complete blag!

Still find it weird that the official site isn't offering a download link to the newest version of GK.

Yeah, that is strange.

I've got a weird bug with GK 0.28.8, EVERY time I rip a movie (I did three yesterday) the audio is out of synch, it's easy to fix (just manually mux), but I've never had this problem with GK before, anyone else getting it?

Looks like I'm not the only one : http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=74316
