Okay, a day or two ago I noticed I was getting weird popups after I installed this Panicware software (it was a verified ed2k link), which was, ironically, a popup blocker. So I uninstalled that, installed a Panicware toolbar, then uninstalled that, too.

Things are going slow as fucking molasses on this piece of shit. Things take forever to load, some things don't bother loading at all. And I've got DSL, and the Mule's running just dandy. But Internet Explorer or AIM? Fuck that, they're running slow. Even with the Mule closed, they're going slow. It just picks random sites not to load. Hell, Google isn't even loading right now.

I've run spyware checks and Ad-aware, and I've gotten rid of about everything. I think it's a virus, but I can't get to any website to find a virus check, because NO search engines will work. I'd love to get a bandwidth meter, but again. Can't.

What the hell do I do? Could it be the internet company having a shitty day? If nobody has any idea what to do, could somebody with Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6 give me a VERIFIED (you use it yourself) Virus Protection ed2k link? Thanks.

You can try this: http://www.webroot.com/wb/products/spysweeper/index.php

Maybe it can help. It has helped me bigtime before.
Can't give you any ed2k link, because i'm at work.

Good luck :)

if you having big probs with IE this http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10227352.html is very handy for cleaning it up. esp if IE is being hijacked!!

EDIT: ed2k: hijackthis.zip  [153.2 Kb] [Stats] in my shares for a bit
EDIT #2: use mozilla as got built in popup blocker anddont get hijacked like ie

also another way round if IE being hijacked open up my computer and just type the web address in the address bar and should give U the web page u want

Thanks, guys. Turned out it was a router problem, now solved, but just in case, I'm checking out those links you all gave me. IE can go fuck itself, hello Opera.
