I've heard Extreme Movie Manager, so I got that, but it's awful. It's just a tiny little window. If you do use EMM, what version do you have? 2.6 is awful. :?

I couldn't get anywhere with EMM either, so I'm back to using moviecollector from http://www.collectorz.com

moviecollector avoid like the plague... utter gash!

EMM 2.6 Build 2 is what I use. UI is tweakable btw

Well I gave emm a good try but did find it a bit - not good.

Will give moviecollector a chance and then decide.

I think function wise emm rocked, but adding the info and getting stuff online i.e imdb/amazon was a bit flakey for me :(

Although I think that I'll be back on emm, as i did find it did everything I wanted and more!

never has for me, been using it for ages. :D Only time it stops is if you want to select a movie, and then you click the one and it carries on. If you don't want it to do that, you need to change options to select the first movie.

OK, I gotta a question (mainly for spud)
Though PCA may help?

Coz I've fallen WAAAAY behind in my catalogueing, so is there a way I coud just put say the Film Title and CD/DVD Number into an excel/word doc and then load that into EMM/MC? Then at least have the films in there (obviousley without any extra film info)

Or do I HAVE to sit and do each film one at a time into the app?

I'm really lame with these catalogueing tools and alot of you seem to be clued up on them!
Cheers :beerchug:

Cool 8)
@ work at the mo and working on a similar thing - importing data into DB, so thought - wonder if emm/mc can do that.

I'll try and find out how tonight!

Then I can spend some time creating the text file and just load it into emm/mc in an instant - saving all that tmie of inputting each one seperatly

And work on film info/covers at my leisure

incidently i use notepad to make a list of every movie ive got, and when i burn tehm i write it down by pen into a real notepad, also i have a movie cataloguer that a mate made which is the simplest thing ever to use, no useless gay ass features, just put teh cd in, select archive, and then when u wanna search for a file put the any part of the name in and click find and as they say bobs ya uncle

I use a piece of software called 'whereisit' for my cd cataloguing. If i was to ever buy a piece of software, it would be this program. I'm not interested in adding all that imdb info and stuff so i like this program just insert cd, click a button, name the cd and bam its all there ready to be searched :)

For EMM, how do I import the director's name from IMDB? Do I just have to type it manually?
