If I want to rip a DVD to my HD along with the subtitles, how do I set Smartripper up so I can watch both movie and subs with PowerDVD?

I just tried this but PowerDVD can't see the subs, which should be there as I ripped all the streams on the disc. What format does PowerDVD need the subs to be in?

Thanks! :)

u want to simply play vob files off your hdd? They are inside the vobs, you just need to turn them on.

If you mean rip them, I think it only supports idx + sub

Yes I want it to watch from the HD. I'm pretty sure I included all the streams when ripping, Smartripper does this automatically, but PowerDVD just doesn't see them. What other (free) DVD media players are there?

smartripper is totally crappy imo, hell it even says that in gknot (well it doesn't come out and say it but its like "why would you use this? move along...". Use DVDdecrypter and press F. Then rip in that. Much, much, much better program.

Zoomplayer is pretty neat for playing dvds, but this is the internet everything is free. Grab zoomplayer pro and WinDVD. If you setup zoomplayer correctly, it will use the best codecs from those two players :)
