I don't know why, suddenly I can't play MPEG files. They crash all my players that use common libraries. FFDShow says mpeg is "currently broken". Any ideas what happened and how can I fix it?

If you have WMP installed, you could try removing that and re-installing. I seem to remember that removes the mpeg codec with it, so it might help.
Other than that, I have no idea unfortunately.
Hope you get it fixed soon.

Shit... I've had this problem myself, and I solved it by removing FFDShow. I'm sure that you've tried already, but it's worth a shot!

I have developed a problem with mpeg's too, my issue is that none of my players will allow me to scan thru them, or pause them, I just have to play them and never pause em or scan em.
