I was just wondering if you switch emule clients can you transfer your credits to the other client and if so how? I was checking out the neomule client and i'd like to try it but i'd hate to start my credits over again.

Another question then:
Can we transfer these credits to another user? Or use his credits on my computer?

that would be leeching and gaining credits unjustly :matrix:
That can also get you both banned for having the same userhash aka hashstealing.

I keep forgetting what your userhash is stored in, i think its cryptkey.dat.

Basicly, your credits aren't on your installation, other clients keep track of what credits you've gained and then when they see someone with that userhash, you get a queue applifier based on your credit ratio. So its your userhash you need to keep. I think clients.met stores info on the credits of other people, but I'm not quite sure.

You can trnasfer hash to other clients, but if you both run it at the same time, you'll get banned for being a leech (hash stealing) and the credits will be erased.

I always just replace the .exe :)

So do you just have to delete the old exe or do you have to copy over it or how to go about doing it so you know it worked?

I just download the binary, then open winrar, drag and drop the new exe from the rar into my emule directory and then click "ok" to overwrite. Then your done :)

Don't need any of the other crap included in the archive :)

Ok. I think i got it with just moving the exe file into the sivka folder with the other exe and it asked me to overwrite with the new one.

The only thing i notice with this one is that i connect to a whole bunch of new clients and then all of a sudden it drops most of em. I'm getting a lot of too many connections in the status tab when it tries to connect to a new client.

I usually extract a new mod into a new directory, then copy over all the old config files.
So that I have

eMule0.40f26_LSD-15d_RC2_Fixed
eMule0.40f26-LSD15dRC2-bin
NeoMule_v2.54-Binary
NeoMule_v2.55-Binary
eMule0.43b

as sepparate directories. Good for trying out new stuff, without having to overwrite stuff.

No spyware if you chose advenced setup; but no upload management, I can't release files easily. There's some support in forums, but the program is very simple than the emule & mods. So there isn't too much trouble. I don't like emule much, because there are many leecher or some bad stuff doin mods out there. Like I couldn't get a local 3mb file for 3 months, cause some crazy man's emule mod don't upload to edonkey or people who aren't uploading to it. If I have a better connection maybe I use emule again.
