OK guys, just fitted a Sapphire ATI Radeon 9200SE Atlantis, not state of the art but a fucking huge improvement over anything I have had before. So far I am very impressed with it, altho I am not a huge gamer anyways.

Anyways, it has TV out and I have got it working thru composite, but is there any 3rd party software that can change the output resolution? I only ask cos it is outputting at 1024x768, or something like that, but the res is too high for my TV and I am losing parts of the edges and it is really annoying. I cannot adjust it via the ATI options either.

I figured out that using overscan will correct the problem of the image being shifted an inch or two to the left, just need to be able to resize the output image a bit.

I also managed to figure out I need VMR9 switched on in BSPlayer to be able to view video on the TV LOL Aint I clever LOL

On a minor sidenote, anyone know the best drivers for my card. I got the latest catalyst drivers from ATI site ATM, anything better out there? I never used an ATI card before so no knowledge on the subject.

Cheers ears :beerchug:

erm, windows....

2nd button on desktop>properties>settings>click the tvout monitor and reduce the res. If you mean reduce the overscan ammount, you need to do the same but click properties, then go along to devices. There'll be a doo-hickey split into four (or less if your card is crap). With greenlights next to all the things you go enabled. Hit TV-out/television or whatever it says, and then you'll get some more options for tv out.

You don't need peripheral shit for ati because they have a decent tv-out chip + drivers

Overscan and all that is cool, just the output res is too high.

I have already tried what you said spud, it will not let me change the res for the second output, as soon as I click apply it switches back to 1024x768.

Might try a driver uninstall/reinstall as I had some issues yesterday installing the card.

HA HA have found the overlay tab. Does exactly what I want it to, just set the media app to output in overlay whatever and it all works cool.

Movie on TV and me surfing for clown porn on monitor 1 LOL
