well after my mobo died on me i have gone out and got another one. am jus putting it 2gether and about 2 upt teh gfx card in but there was a sticker over the agp slot on the new mobo stating do not use a 3.3v agp card as will kill teh mobo, thing is i got no idea wot voltage my currrent gfx card is. it dont say on it, can find no info on teh net that is that specific, the manufacturers site got jack shit bout it. can anyone give me some advise? the card is a geforce2 mx400 64mb with tvout (i know is old but does teh job ok)

I'm pretty sure that all cards from the original geforce and up are at least AGP x4 (=1.5v).
And those notches can't be trusted. There were some talking about some cards had their notches set as a 1.5v card but they were infact 3.3v cards.

thanks folks i found another page and it was explained even easier. basically if yr agp is 4x it runs 1.5 or .8 prior to that can be hit and miss. Death TNT2's were a big culprit on that from wot i read. sorted now anyway, i now got a 2200+ coupled with the gfx card on a cheapo mobo which pisses over my current pc (celeron700 with 32mb PCI gf2mx!!) can now play max payne 2!! wahoo! and hopefully nxt month will get sum more ram and a new dvd drive. then maybe able 2 do sum more ripping!!
