00:53:41: Finished. Duration: 0 seconds.

00:53:41: Audio Done.
00:53:41: Error: MP3-File-Size is zero! Transcoding failed.
00:53:41: Error: Will not recalculate bitrate! - Maybe you can add audio later...

Does anyone please know why this is happening or what I might be doing wrong?

I can play the ripped audio in BSPlayer no problem. :?

This keeps happening to me, but only if I try to encode and add the secondary audio track with GK.

I'm just doing a normal single audio track rip. The same happens when I try to encode the audio by itself.

BeSweet does have probs with certain DVD's, I've never seen a zero length mp3 but I have seen some really strange ones that sound like Pinky and Perky when muxed, in these cases I use Cool Edit, that always does the trick.

Version 0.28.7, are there any known issues with this one?

nope but your way behind... that version doesn't even have proper Xvid 1.0 support does it :o

Bug fixes over the past few versions have been lots, xvid size difference correction, the guides have updated for xvid1.0, a lot of audio tweaks and changes.

For a bit of reflection on how far behind you are, i just fired up my gknot... version 0.32.0

There's been several updates and fixes for a whole host of issues, the most notable being correcting Xvid1.0 support.

I've updated to 0.32.0 but I get exactly the same problem. :(

I can't think what the cause might be. :?

Well, I used BeSweet by itself to encode the audio and it managed it perfectly.

So I can't work out why it wouldn't work when using GK, but all is well now and the rip is completed, I just hope it doesn't happen again.

I'm using the latest GK now, so something good has come of this at least. :)
