I had some big trouble downloading in emule a week ago. After a new firewall, changed ports and some other config it all began dl again.

But now i have low-id. My download speed is as it was before my troubled began and often much faster. So I just let everything be and continued whit low id. Is there someting bad about that? I am very happy with my speed today. But are there someting else bad about low-id except the speed?

one thing about you having a lowID is that nobody can give you a friend slot until you have a highID....not sure what other implications there are though :wacky:

limited connectivity, lower queue ranking (why do you think lowid gets a queue rating boost? Cos they are ranked extremely low and connection will drop out), etc. yes... if you have a lowid it need fixing asap.

If you want the full description just go to emule-project and read up on it ;)

You sure you got a low-id?

Things must have changed since last time I had router problems :?

When I had a lowid back then, i could harldy see any sources and my speed never went above 10% of my maximum bandwidth :(

That was a bad couple of weeks I can tell you.

But like spud says a lowid id is low for a reason and should be fixed

Before: ZoneAlarm
Now: Kerio
After:?

I am not sure why all downloading stopped (upploading was working fine). I changed so much at the same time so really dont know what solved the problem. But I have a strong feeling that my ISP had something to do with it (port setting).

I will change one thing at a time to find out the main problem.

I know that many says ZoneAlarm dont work so good whit emule but it has worked fine for me since I started to use Emule (a couple of months)

Try sygate.pro.

I had a feeling ZA was the issue.

I tried that firewall, and ditched it in 1/2 hour.

It's 100% hated when it comes to p2p apps.
