Also, how does one get the edk link for a movie posted on newsgroups without downloading the whole thing?

I'm not sure what your meaning. Do you mean how do you start downloading all the files for a flick without having to download the headers first?

Cos i was trying to register on giganews.com but they ask for cash to join.

Soz for all this questions but i'm very very fresh on newsgroups.

You need to pay for a news server to access the groups if your isp doesn't have a server of its own. I don't recommend using any free servers.

Just import the group list from your ISP's server.
Piece of cake.
You should be able to find these Groups in the list, then just subcribe to them, and update the news feed.=)
