A friend of mine had a little yellow icon come up in his systray and it said something about "virtual memory loss warning".

He is running XP Pro SP2, his computer kept going fine and the icon vanished aftera while. Any idea what it is? Maybe adjust his paging file?

I've seen it before, it means that your virtual memory settings are too low and it's warning you that Windows is increasing your swap space.

Ah cool, cheers PCA. I popped round there and indeed his page file was too small, just increased it.

LOLno idea ho wit got set so low, I built his system, but never in a million years would I have set it so low, especially with him running less RAM than me, if anything I woulda set it higher.

No biggy tho, I am quite chuffed, this fella is a very, very fast learner, he is already pushing his system hard, and best of all it is only usefull stuff, no crap or the like. He is gonna stick a 512 stick of Ram in to boost performance, currently only has 256 meg.
