If I'd collected all my DVD stuff in cases, there wouldn't be enough room in my flat to live anymore. I collect them on spindles. Labels would have made sense, when I still used CDs with one movie per CD. But where do I find a DVD label for
Maplewood
Midnight Mass
Return of the living Dead 2
Little Shop of Horrors
Monster High
and Robo Vampire
on one media?

Thanks for the replies. I've used ega-search before....hate all the damn pop-ups.
I haven't started putting multiple movies on 1 DVD as of yet...still waiting for my new DVD player to arrive so test and make sure it will read them.
Thanks again.

Don't use such a shitty browser then
http://www.opera.com
http://www.mozilla.org
I still can't understand why people use IE... it boggles the mind,
@wargand, once upon a time a little japanese person invented a drive that could burn DVDrs, and with this, you could copy and download DVDs. Everything in the world isn't xvid you know

been saving that since september? hehe
Its irrespective of whether SP2 came with ?5 to use IE, its still a shitty browser.
http://www.mozilla.org
http://www.opera.com
or continue using a fucked up browser that's littered with problems regarding imbedded virus breeding via Microsoft Helper dlls (thx Bill), glitchy rendering, crap pop up blocker, limited features, and the ability to show any fucked up page of your choosing, without prejudice against any virus/adware, no tabbed browsing, anti-user approach to ui, crap favourites *snip*... your call
Of course, some guys actually enjoy being fucked up the ass by some vile meat head, so I guess people will continue to use IE irrespective of its little problems
Anyway since we're quoting the distant past:
Code: | If I'd collected all my DVD stuff in cases |
I'd hazard a bet people won't keep all their cds in the cases, its DVDrs that people tend to print out covers for. I know I do, the cds I don't care to bother with.

only problem I've got with IE is that every time I enter a page with a windows media file, the browser shuts down. happens with Windows Media Player too. AND Opera. never managed to find the remedy. =(

Sharpie? Who is this sharpie and how do we summon him?
Or do you mean a Sharp scanner named Sharpie? I called mine Thunderwing Doom Slayer, after the parrot in Bottom Live IV
if its a site, would like the url
I've been seriously considering setting up a DVDcover site, but I don't think I can afford the bandwidth.

ya you need to set limitations of how covers are scanned what dpi you wanted like 300 or 600 but yet you need the bandwidth and alsothe space

There are sites that offer 'unlimited' bandwidth which is worth exploiting, mind
But yeah, there's loads of problems, but there's also a huge gap regarding rare horror/cult/exploitation/weird movie covers, which is what would be handy I think.
Plus a logical structure
English:
Retail
VHS
Custom
French:
Retail
VHS
Custom
etc.
Hate it when they shove everything in a section, I'm also not particularly fond of cdcovers.cc non-memory way of doing things (where the back button looses your place, static links are much better than that click and grab layout [created dynamically of course])

The words:

Spring to mind over the old pen method. I write on the discs with it, but cases look crappy with it.
btw, LMAO, I actually had a sharpy sat infront of me all this time and was writing with one when I asked. I can't say I'd ever taken the time to read the side of a pen, does that make me cool?
Its an old chewed up beta
(Just an excuse to use Thuderwing Doomslayer for a test scan )

Free? I've got about 100 obscure/custom/weird DVDCovers that I could upload to somewhere and make available if the hosting is OK.

free, no, you pay for a set hosting which is XYZ space, and then you have unlimited bandwidth usage.
However, this isn't quite true for every site, nothing can possibly be unlimited, as bandwidth really is a limited quantity.

I just use the EMM IMDB script to find movie covers.
Usually find em.
If not there I just search for the movie title on Google Image search and use that.
