Hi Mate,
I have the same player, and had the same problem also.

You need to get Dr Divx and re-encode through that choosing the 'Home Theatre' option.

Works every time.

For more info register at http://www.my-yamada.co.uk

Also what version firmware are you running?

John

Doesn't it degrade the quality to do that, though?

I spose it must do slightly, but i'm not sure as i just had a blank screen before i re-encoded it!

I don't think there is a way to remove it without re-encoding it, but i stand to be corrected when one of the more knowledgeable peeps reads this.

you don't need to re-encode, there's a program somewhere that you just check a box and it unpacks the bitstream, or at least I thought there was, take a scour through hardware/software, its in a thread about fixing AR without re-encoding. I'm sure you could turn off advanced profile settings in that.

Never needed to do it since I got some good kit :)

The prog that unpacks the bitstream is mpeg modifier, available here

http://www.moitah.net/

As i'm still using v1 of the firmware my player is ok with packed bitstream.

I just have the FF/RW problem on some movies.
