I have some DV Camcorder footage that I have transferred from the HDD of my standalone DVDRecorder to a DVD-RAM disc (the player doesn't like my Datawrite Classic DVD-R blanks). I tried to read an ISO file to my PC, so I can then write copies onto DVD-R but DVDDecrypter is estimating 7-8hours to rip!! :o

The drive is a Pionneer 108, and it's currently reading at 0.1x, is this right? A 4.7GB DVD-ROM takes about 15 minutes to rip.

According to the spec, it should read @2x I'd say though your best bet is to leave it overnight / while you go to work

Cocking hell! 10 hours! :o

And now I can't write the RAM image to DVD-R (I'm guessing the format is different). Need discs with Taiyo Yuden dye for my player apparently, so off I go to SVP!

Thanks for the input Hanneman, I got round the problem by finding a DVD-R that is compatible with my recorder. Now it's a piece of piss!
