just downloaded resident evil 1 on the PC, it all works fine but the game plays as
if its in fast forward. The sound runs at normal speed, its just the graphics.

i know it was originally designed to run on a P133, not a 2gHz Athlon and theres no
FPS limiter or feature in it. ive tried playing about with various Directx & video card
settings, but no luck. ive also tried CPU limiting progs (which eat up your CPU time)
they slow the game down but make it really choppy.

short of using my bios to clock down my chip as much as possible (which is just an
arse if i need to do that every time i play it), i'm out of ideas?

help anyone?

1) buy a GCN, no point wasting your time when they remade it and did a far better job of it
2) Buy a PSX, its better on the psx than it is on the pc.

I would have thought there'd be some software to do it but i've never actually seen any, anywhere. You might want to check your graphics card drivers / homepage / unofficial drivers, to see if they have the option or the app. Sometimes lowering your refresh rate helps.

Obviously sunshine, you need a massive downgrade.

Send me a couple of hundred quid and I sort ya out with a 133.
