I have scoured the site, but couldnt find any info on how to create sigs, (I think thats whatcha call em; the banner at the bottom of some peeps posts).
Is there specific software to use, or is it simply a case of using good 'ol Paint Shop Pro to create an image to a certain size, (like the avatars)?
Also, once I have a sig, ( or whatever their name is), how do I upload it, (am I even allowed to!? )?
Please help; Im off work at the mo, (suspended, actually, due to my baaaad language:twisted:!), and am feeling creative; hence my new Avatar, (yes-that really IS me!!! )

As for the avatar, use PaintShop Pro / Photoshop / whatever to create it bung it up to a web host (imageshack is ok) then go to your profile and add this to your signature area (this is mine)

obviously replacing the URL with the url to your image

err are img tags working for anyone else? all I see in Tak's message above is the URL of the image not the image itself (the sigs and avatars work though??)

Yay! Ive been suspended ON FULL PAY since January this year for bad language, (tho Im not the only one who uses it where I work)!!!!
I work for the Government, (wont say which area in case someone on here recognises me from my, erm, Rep! ), hence its taken this long to sort out!
I dont think its helped that I said in my defence I was trying to 'change the system' from within!!!

Well, it wasnt exactly planned that way, and like I said earlier; I wasnt the only one!
There is/was a 'swearing culture' where I work, (quoting my Union Rep), and so there has been a LOT of investigation into this from HQ in London; My managers have all been pulled in too! To the point of one of them going on long-term sick from the stress of it all!!! The wuss
Thing is, I was never given verbal warnings, etc, (prob coz my first line-manager swears as much as me! ), so the 'correct protocol' hasnt been followed!
Again, according to my Rep, Higher-Up-Heads will prolly roll for this, but as Im on the bottom rung, (just above tha cleaners ), there aint a lot they can actually do to me!
Worst case is, I'll lose promotion prospects, (Boo-Hoo; like I had any with MY sick-record!), and maybe next years Corporate Bonus. Hopefully I will have found a new job by then, so it wont matter... (Apparently, because of the mis-management, they would be unable to sack me without sacking some managers too! Heh-Heh )
I was looking for somewhere else before my suspension anyway, so this is just a kick up my arse to sort summink else out!
