No no - this is not some typical trojan/spyware - I got all the programs to testify before this turns into another NORTON bashing thread - tried panda, trend micro ,bitdefender, mcafee , spybot even M$ own anti-spy shit.....NOTHING

It's not that something is soaking up my bandwidth - it's just that somehow my speedtouch 510 router/modem connection gets capped down to a miserable 448kbitup -1884 kbit or something down ! (should be 768/3200 - soon to be 768/6000 :P )

The damndest thing is , that when I drop the static ip and aquire random ip/go firewalled (oh and restart the modem), I get most of it back (704/3200)

So I ring the helpdesk , and this little jerk :matrix: insults me by asking wether I tried to reinstall/reset the router/modem.....
:matrix: "Have you changed a setting recenty sir ?"</i> :matrix: ...those kind of questions :suicide:

The little shit did mention that there were constructions going on(the nationwide upgrade) - but I could hear him frown when I informed him that this shit was going on for near a week now..... :wacky:

Finally he gave me the :wacky: brilliant :wacky: answer to do a clean install and if problems still were present I should ring back .....

Now, full re-install is not an option for the next 2 or so days so I figured I just shoot this thing thru here (BTW that router IS password protected - it be some mean lean piecea spyware to get around that)
