Man, this has been a big month for troubleshooting already :? thanks for everyones help! i got one last problem though (as far as i can tell)....

ive got a nvidia Verto GeForceFX 5500 PCI gfx card. so basically vga+vga+svideo.

after installing the drivers, i set it up to output as CRT-1/TV-1.

its a Clone setup, so i can operate the computer from one room, start a movie, then go to the living room to watch it through the TV-Out (s-video) and i have the same display on both the monitor and TV screen.

This worked brilliantly at first, but when i adjusted something (dont know what) the movies only show up on the monitor and not the TV (!?!?).

to word that differently, ive got my player with the video showing on the PC Monitior and ive got my player WITHOUT the video showing on the TV screen.

Any ideas/suggestions?? it really bummed me out to get it working briefly only to have it not work at all afterwards.

" /me bows deeply and respectfully for the knowledgable help the guys at hhah has given him :-) "

:beerchug:

edit: scratch that... well, now that i know it is the overlay or ffdshow that is causing the problem, i cant find anything to adjust those options in my driver software.

does any have a info link for the TV Tools software so ill know what im looking for?

editx2: man i need to lay off the caffiene. OKAY, SO, the only adjustments i could make to the overlay settings were zoom and color.

However, from a diff menu in my options, when i selected my 2nd device (TV) to display at full screen only, the movie plays PERFECTLY. just no desktop or anything.
