Me too, at least i'm not the only one on this board. Altough i sometimes 'try out' an album first by downloading it.

Also i saw you mentioned Urn, pretty great thrash/black metal band from what i heard. I still need to hunt some stuff of them down (haven been saying that to myself for a couple of months now. So little time, so much to listen to, i still have around 5 cd's i haven't even listened to and a shitload i haven't listened enough to).
I'll check out Devilry, thanks.

My absolute favorite Death metal band is NunSlaughter from usa. It's a 90's band, but they sound like old 80's deathmetal. Mortem from Peru is great too.

Vinyls are only right way to listen Metal!!!!!!!

Urn guys are my friends and they are coming to play in small metal festival that I'm organising right now. New vinyl release of 666megatons is out then and I hope they get their new album into vinyl soon too.

Ahh, then i'll wait for the vinyl release of 666 Megatons.

Nunslaughter's a great band. Too bad there's so many shit realeases (live, another live with the same tracks, another live with one or two new tracks, 385928 7" EP's and bout 2 full-length albums...).

When we're talking about old school metal bands with a lot of releases, what do you guys think of Sabbat (the Japanese one, that is).
Very nice, catchy and a little bit cheesy black/thrash/heavy metal. From the mid '80's until today they have loads of releases on their name, probably more than 50.
Here's a link to their 'Sabbatical website' http://welcome.to/sabbat/

Sabbat is great...lotsa releases indeed.
Are you familiar with, also from Japan, Casbah ? Great death/thrash. I've got their russian roulette 7" from 1986...wich is pretty obscure.

Nope, i don't have too much of this old stuff (not rare stuff anyway) since i wasn't even one year old when this 7" you're talking about was released. ;)

(Yeah, yeah, i'm a little kid. Come on with the jokes. )

Hell yes!!!! Sabbat is one of my favorite metal bands ever! They were playing live in my hometown and I can say it was the best gig I have ever seen. I actually taped it in vhs format.

Funniest thing in sabbat releases is that song black fire. I have only 3 versions of it japanese, english and france version and now they release finnish version of black fire!!!! (there is even senegal version of it)
I also have old really bad quality sabbat tv gig recorded from japanese tv. There sabbat guys play blackfire in some kind of harvest festival style happening. It's old tape and rerecorded about 1000 times to vhs to vhs, but it is still cool. Sabbat guys are about 15year old and crowd is full of business guys, just standing and listening music.

I realised that, by the old sabbat, I meant the other (british) one :)

Great band, and superb live

What do you guys think about Barbarian Wrath (the label of course). Monday i received a package with Hail, Faustcoven, Anael and Stiny Plamenu (also Cult of Daath and Destr?yer666 but they're not BW) which are all great. About a year ago i found all BW bands except for Countess boring as hell but i really start to appreciate this stuff. Especially Hail (after you're done laughing at the silly band name) is very good, kind of like Von, but they can actually play and not everything sounds the same.
Faustcoven is very old school Black/Heavy/(maybe a little Doom kind-of influence) metal, great stuff.
Anael is like Ulver's Worship Him.
Stiny Plamenu is the worst band of these four, yet still pretty good. Fast, melodic metal (with a imo very annoying drum-machine) with a sewer theme.
More BW bands reccomended are: COUNTESS, Megiddo, Alastor and maybe Amon. I also got a Heretic album from BW but it sounds like a joke, although it's nice to listen to sometimes.
I'd normally direct you guys to the BW homepage but it's been down for a while now. A new one is in progress.
