Just ordered a few DVD-Rs to rip for you guys, any particular order you'd like them released in?

Nightmares In A Damaged Brain - Supposed to be from the 1hr 37min australian uncut VHS.

Helga, She Wolf of Spilberg - English language (which must be dubbed)

Bare Behind Bares - Brazillian WIP movie, missing from Exploitation thread (shame on you DXA :) )

Batoru garu - The Living Dead In Tokyo Bay. A kung-Fu zombie type thing starring a leather clad Cutei Suzuki

Zombie Campout - Four friends on a weekend camping trip having the time of their lives, when radio-active meteorites crash into a nearby cemetery all hell breaks loose. Who will make it out alive?

Also looking for anyone who is willing to help share these out with me.

Nightmares in a Damaged Brain UNCUT wow. I had the Dutch VHS years ago but sadly no longer have it. It was 99 mins but if this is the Visual-Pain release I think it is slightly shorter because the end credits are incomplete.

Will do Nightmares In A damaged Brain & Batoru Garu when the disc's arrive then I'll rip the rest, I know DXA has been looking for the Helga one for a while.

Nighmares In A Damaged brain is the Visual-Pain version. Is it OK to tag it as UNCUT if it's missing just the credits?

IMO yes. It should even be possible to nick the credits from another rip although I can't think of how to do it without being oversized. I certainly don't mind you using my rip and I doubt PCA would mind you using his, although IIRC he encoded the credits at a lower bitrate, I haven't got his rip anymore to confirm this.

I've got the cut UK DVD of Nightmares In A Damaged Brain, I'll do a bit of reading up on the subject and pinch the credits from that.

I've never actually seen this movie I put off watching the DVD (which came in a boxset) when I read some of your post about it being cut.

I've given the sizing some more thought. What I would do is to cut the credits from the cut DVD using mpeg2cut, rip the credits, then when ripping the film set the CD size to be ~685MB (assuming 2 mins of credits) and join the 2 with vdubmod, should end up ~700MB :)

Was thinking along those lines myself.

Will just have to read up on joining the 2 with vdubmod, don't think I've never used that program on it's own.

:lol: Not a chance. Good luck though.

For some reason, if you join a 15MB avi to a 685MB avi the total size is nowhere near 700MB. Not when I've tried it anyway.

I can't remember as it was such a long time ago but that might be why my rip was so horribly oversized, the original was 2 VCD's.

Not if you know what your doing and you sort out the correct interleaving settings, for example :wacky: :googley:

You'll get something slightly below 700mb most of the time, given that the repeated AVI container overheads are thrown away.
