Dogtown and Z-boys (2001)

Image

Plot:
Documentary about the pioneering 1970s Zephyr skating team.

IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275309/

After running a few searches on the mule i couldn't find a proper one. I could find the movie based on this docu called Lords of Dogtown but they all appear to be in Italian.

So if anyone interested...

If it's to offending go ahead and delete it

I can understand if y'all like to keep it "horror"

well the non-horror section is for cult, underground, rare and related movies too.

I think the graffitti slides because its an underground video tape. This ones pushing towards sport and as the imdb seems to suggest its going a tad too off topic to really be needed on this site.

I tend to agree with pca's opinion on this particular skating video.

Definitely.
I can't skate at all - I mean not even ride a skateboard, but I had to buy this doco on dvd after I saw it.
Peralta's Riding Giants is equally an excellent doco too. Shortlisted for the Oscar IIRC.
Both have some great (and at times amazing) stories told in them.

Yeah it's worth it - basically like dogtown but big wave surfing.
check out here (don't know if it has complete sources or not)...

I believe Peralta is also going to make a movie (starring Heath Ledger) about Greg Noll who is one of the main people in Riding Giants.
