I've ripped the german dvd posted here I used jawors 2cd but as you can see still a bit soft and the high action scenes are blurred. I'm happy to release it if there's enough demand. Ha, I thought of ripping it myself, but one more .rar to go 
Could you post a .png screen of the source? I see a lot of pixelization in the above screens, I guess it wasn't very compressible? What did you use for the rip apart from Jawor2cd?

Those are .png Ive seen you upping that from me 
Just used gknot with jawors, tried with the default but was worse. Why dont we wait till you complete, have a go yourself and we can compare, you guys would make it easier to spread aswell 
Either way I dont mind i just think this movie could do with a decent rip
I will do the trailers on the disc tho

Definitely, this one needs a good one
Well I'll try when I have it complete but was thinking you could just give it a few more shots, maybe with some filtering, dunno how compressible the source is. Just that those lil pixels remind me of my current ripping process with Name of a Rose. 
Anyways, all I want is for us all to further improve ripping skills

i'm not sure Jawors 2cd is the right matrix to use for this. I've got the blood red edition lying around, i'll have a look and see if some filtering cleans it up and what matrix works best and feed it back toyou if you want? |

 OMG the DVD is a disaster. 
Are we sure this is the best? On DVDcompare they say the other german DVD has anamorphic transfer.

I have the German DVD, not sure if it's anamorphic though. IIRC the transfer was mediocre. |

It's supposed to be the best DVD out there but it never occured to me to rip it. I figured there already has to be a proper rip of Braindead on ed2k. If there really isn't, I could add it to my do-do list and rip it for Shitbusters. If people are interested and no one else wants to do it, that is - I have tons of stuff to rip/release.
