I don't know if everybody knows this allready, but I'll write it here nonetheless.

Very often I have a file that has only very few segments missing with no full sources availible. There are alot of people waiting for it to complete, but then suddenly a full source pops up, and then shortly leaves again.

Hastely righ-click the source and send him a message like this:

Hey man. You're the only full source for 'FILETITLE'. Would you please set the upload priority to Release? There are alot of ppl waiting for just the last two segments... Thank you.

Sometimes they reply and it works. I've managed to complete several files that I've waited ages for this way.

I keep a sepperate .txt file with lot's of messages like this in. One for each uncomplete file. And when I see a source it's just a matter of cut-and-paste.

That's a very good idea, but usually they don't reply. Which is even more annoying than not being able to complete the file.

Of course not. Who is reading his messages? Ususally my donkey runs for days unattended. When I finally see a message, it is very possible that the sender died in the mean time of old age.

hehe,
i think anyone who's ever messaged me knows they are more then likely going to be drawn into a conversation(sometimes for hours), with no polite means of escape.
