The Art of the Nasty | | The book "The Art of the Nasty" was written by Nigel Wingrove and Marc Morris and published in 1998 by Salvation Films. It is long since out of print.
Art of the Nasty wrote: | This is the most comprehensive collection of video nasty and pre-certificate video sleeves ever reproduced in one volume. Banned by an Act of Parliament after a frenzied and hysterical press campaign, the video nasty was seen as the harbinger of evil and a genuine threat to the fabric of society.
The Art of the Nasty reproduces over 300 pre-certificate video covers in all their lurid glory - from the ludicrous and extreme imagery of SS Experiment Camp and the gross savagery of Cannibal Holocaust, to the powerful and confrontational rape victim on the front of I Spit On Your Grave.
The early video distributor was brash and out for profit, using packaging and marketing techniques reminiscent of the 30's 'pulps', video image was to create its own demise. Provoking reactions of revulsion and disgust in the viewer, these video sleeves were often far more extreme than the films themselves.
The Art of the Nasty is a uniqie visual record of a unique visual time. |
We all know about video nasties, there is little more for me to say except that as well as horror there was a lot of porn around, both hardore and softcore, and the book reflects that. I discussed the inclusion of several titles with key members of this site and came to the decision to include every title in the book. I guess not doing so would not only make the collection incomplete but would be tantamount to censorship.
This collection finally supersedes Iconoclast's Video Nasties collection, thanks to Icon for the original collection which I heavily plagiarised, to Storm and DxaKrator whose work has also been pillaged to create this collection, to Cybersatan for help with verification of certain titles, to Skantchybaby for providing the list and to Krug for suggesting I do this in the first place.
Not all titles have been verified by myself, and I gave up on trying to collate as many alternate rips as possible, seeing the crusty old mpeg's, vastly undersized rips and German dubs knocking about the network.
Finally, on the subject of dubs, all films in this collection must be either spoken or subtitled in English. | Navigation:

| Absurd (1981) | | Review: "Brutal!...Shocking!...Violent!...Savage!...ABSURD...Not for the squeamish!" A man is being pursued by a priest. Attempting to climb a spiked iron fence he falls onto it and is impaled but manages to stagger to a nearby house, his intestines spilling out. He is rushed to a local hospital though there is little chance of his survival. Miraculously though, his grievous wounds begin to heal themselves at an astonishing rate.Police investigating the accident discover that the injured man (Nikos Thanopolous) originates from Greece as does the priest who is pursuing him. This clergyman has a strange tale to tell. Nikos was a patient at an institute where biochemical research rendered him immortal by rapid regeneration of damaged tissue. The one drawback is that Nikos is insane and homicidal. After escaping from the hospital he roams the local countryside killing brutally whenever the opportunity arises. As the search for him intensifies he finds shelter at a nearby villa occupied by a disabled girl, her younger brother and their teenaged babysitter. These will be his next victims but will they be his last? |
| Anthropophagous the Beast (1980) | | Review: "It's not fear that tears you apart...it's him!" A deserted beach. A blood curdling scream. A decapitated head. So ends another tourist's holiday. So begins Anthropophagous The Beast as it gallops through shock after bloody shock. Probably one of the most frightening films you will ever see. It will leave you wondering if deep inside us all, there may lurk the cannibal, watch it, if you dare. |
| Axe (1977) | | Review: "AT LAST ... TOTAL TERROR!" After terrorizing a convenience store salesgirl with tomatoes, three lowlifes on a crime spree hide out at an isolated farmhouse occupied only by teenage Lisa and her pathetically paralyzed grandpa. Bad move guys, for while Lisa looks innocent enough, she's actually a ticking-time-bomb-of-psychotic-aggression who spends her days killing chickens, feeding raw eggs to her granddad, staring blankly into space, and hallucinating blood on a mirror. So when the three numbskulls add Lisa to their list of people to abuse, she promptly puts an end to their antisocial activities with the help of her two best friends, a straight-edge razor and her two best friends, a straight-edge razor and her handy AXE.... |
| Beast In Heat, the (1976) | | Review: "Horrifying Experiences In The Last Days Of The S.S.!" In a remote village in occupied Europe, the SS pursue their inhuman treatment of captured partisans in efforts to force them to betray their comrades.....while Fraulein Krast, a sadistic biologist, concentrates her efforts on the womenfolk with refined tortures and humiliation, leaving them to the mercy of the sex crazed half-man, half-beast she has created with her experimental injections.... |

| Review: "They came seeking pleasure, they found death!" Developers want to own land around a bay and the movie begins with the murder of the Countess who owns the land, and the immediate murder of her killer. While money based murders start happening, a group of teens arrive at the bay for the obvious.....sex and drinking. A watchful eye begins taking out the teens as proprietors also get killed. There is confusion over who inherits the land, will it be the daughter of the illegitamite son? A few minor plot twists over rightful heir to the land by the bay, and an interesting ending |
| Blood Feast (1963) | | Review: "Nothing So Appalling In The Annals Of Horror!" When Mrs Fremont hires crackpot Egyptian cultist, Fuad Ramses, to cater at her daughter Suzette's party, she commits the culinary catastrophe of the century. With his radical approach to food preparation and absolute insistence upon the most succulent ingredients, Fuad uses his machete to gather his bloody harvest. His chopping list includes leg of bathing girl, generous portion of woman's brains and fresh tongue of sexy blonde. |
| Blood Rites (1967) | | Review: "Blessed are the meek as they shall inherit" Three sisters and their husbands are forced to stay at their late Father's house in order to inherit his fortunes. But their stay quickly turns into a never-ending nightmare as the evil force within the house unleashes its savage fury against them. As the unwelcome guests are dispatched in a variety of gruesome ways the house finally yields it's sinister secrets - can anyone survive long enough to learn them! Blessed are the meek as they shall inherit... |
| Bloody Moon (1980) | | Review: The moon rises over a masked pool-party and a young girl entices a man to her bungalow. About to seduce her, she tears off his mask to discover he is hideously disfigured; in anger, the crazed man stabs her to death. The murder in bungalow 13 at the Youth Boarding Club for Languages becomes an unsolved mystery. Two new students, the vivacious Angela and her good-time girl friend Ava, arrive at the school; Angela is placed in bungalow 13 and shortly after their arrival, Ava is murdered. Although Angela is the only witness, no one believes her because the body mysteriously disappears; the prime suspect is the handsome Antonio, a stud who works at the camp. Later, when the Contessa is burned alive in her bed Angela panics believing she is the next on the killer's list. Alone in her terror, Angela watches the moon rise over the villa. Perhaps there she can find sanity and safety? |
| Burning, the (1980) | | Review: "Don't look he'll see you, Don't breathe he'll hear you, Don't move you're dead." "On a moonlit evening many years ago, a group of young campers played a trick on Cropsy, the camp caretaker. The trick backfired, and Cropsy became a horribly disfigured maniac, a mutilated killer with a thirst for revenge. This is the terrifying account of Cropsy's return and of the trail of blood he leaves in the dark woods..." |

| Review: "Make Them Die Slowly" |
| Cannibal Holocaust (1979) | | Review: "Eaten Alive!...The Ultimate Terror Movie..." The story concerns the disappearance of an expedition and film crew in the depths of unexplored jungle. A rescue expedition finds no survivors, but they do recover the film taken by their doomed predecessors. The sickening contents reveal a terrifying catalogue of life - and horrific death - among the cannibal tribe, which still inhabits the jungle. |
| Cannibal Man, the (1972) | | Review: "When The Butcher Goes Berserk" Marcos works in a canning plant attached to the local slaughterhouse. Everyday he must wade through the rivers of blood, down seemingly endless rows of dissected animal corpses, to pick up the meat his plant processes. One evening he kills a taxi driver in self-defence, and then desperate with fear, strangles his own girlfriend, the only witness to the crime. When the girl's friend tries to find her he kills her as well, and before he knows it, he has the blood of several victims on his hands. He dispossess of their bodies in a manner he had learned at work, cutting them to pieces and stuffing them in to the plant's meat grinder. This one-week in the life of a murderer is a fascinating character study of a frightened man whose chain of horrid crimes is more worthy of our pity than our condemnation. |
| Devil Hunter, the (1980) | | Review: The lovely Laura, on a modelling job in South America, is kidnapped by a gang who carry her off into the jungle from where they demand a huge ransom. Two men set off in a helicopter to rescue her, little knowing what horrors Laura is enduring in the meantime in the savage clutches of a primitive and bloodthirsty world. Laura's rescuers not only have to face the cruel violence of her captors-but also the horrifying lust for blood of a primitive and cruel god. |
| Don't Go In The Woods...Alone! (1980) | | Review: "Everyone has nightmares about the ugliest way to die." Four young campers set out on a carefree journey by the light of day, but as the forest becomes denser, darkness closes in around them. They begin to realize ther are lost - when suddenly a form rushes from the trees, a machete glints in the failing light... and Craig falls dead. | Exposé (1975) | | Review: "Nothing is left to the imagination! In her first screen role - Fiona Richmond Britain's No 1 sex symbol" A novelist (Udo Kier) hires a quiet British country house so that he can work on finishing his latest novel. His agent arranges for a secretary to stay with him, in order to speed up its completion (played by Linda Hayden). However, this turns out to be a big mistake when she reveals that she has actually come to kill him for stealing the manuscript for his last novel from her husband, which drove him to suicide. The housekeeper, Kier's girlfriend (played by 70's sex superstar Fiona Richmond) and 2 local thugs all meet horrific ends as Hayden goes on her killing spree. |
| Faces of Death (1979) | | Review: "Banned in 46 Countries!" "Death Closes All" - so wrote Alfred Lord Tennyson over a century ago. No Matter who we are, rich or poor, death is an occurrence which at some time we must all face; first of those we know and love, and finally of ourselves. We believe this important video film will help to prepare for the enormity of the ultimate experience. It explores the visual phenomena of death in many forms: - not only of human beings, but also of the defenceless beasts which mankind slaughters to satisfy its hungers and its greed. The murderous horror of seal culling is exposed with grim reality: the awful consequences of fatal motor accidents - these scenes will surely promote a more considerate attitude by those who drive cars; the atrocities of war; the even greater devastation caused by starvation, disease, and the fatal effects of lung cancer; in startlingly frank scenes the miracles of modern surgery are fearlessly exhibited, as are the perversities of mankind, its crazed need to defy death unsuccessfully with stunts such as free-fall parachuting, aeroplane acrobatics, and the more common disasters like air crashes and train derailments, its needless slaughter of dumb animals. This video documentary will shock you: there is no doubt of that; but it will also bring you a message of hope: the possibility of life after death: the wonder of re-birth; and we believe will fundamentally change for the better the reverence and respect you will feel for the wonder of life. Scenes in this video film are of explicit and shocking nature. They should not be viewed by young people, or of those with a nervous disposition. In the opinion of the distributors many of the scenes contained herein would not pass the British Board Of Film Censors. |
| Fight For Your Life (1977) | | Review: "There is no greater violence than a father's revenge for the rape of his daughter" A spectacularly vicious escape releases three murders on a trail of merciless beatings, bloody killings and multiple rape with scenes of unprintable happenings. While holding a family under siege the captors become captives and in a terrifying climax their victim's revenge is quick, thorough and very sweet. |

| Forest of Fear (1979) | | Review: In a remote and idyllic forest, illegal marijuana is being cultivated. Government agents locate the secret plantation. Their murder by the hippie farmers after its discovery sparks off a devastating change of events, one of which is the indiscriminate spraying of Dromax, a yet untested toxic pesticide. The contaminated hippies embark on a bloodthirsty rampage. An innocent group of holidaymakers enjoying the sport and pleasure of the once peaceful paradise are not aware that the forest now harbours frenzied ghouls bent on destruction. The result is murder, mayhem and a stunning, spine-chilling, climax. |
| Gestapo's Last Orgy, the (1976) | | Review: Gestapo's Last Orgy depicts scenes of such an explicit and violent nature, that any persons who are likely to take offence to such displays are advised not to view this film. "Lise Cohen is taken to a special prisoner-of-war camp for female Jews, a camp run as a bordello to entertain the German officers and troops going in to battle. The camp is run with an iron fist by Commandant Starker and his minion Alma. Starker becomes frustrated when Lise demonstrates no fear, and devises cruel experiments to scare her, to no avail. Once she realizes her guilt is unfounded, Lise begins to play Starker's game, but even though she begins living a better life, she doesn't forget the atrocities she has seen and experienced." |
| House by the Cemetery, the (1981) | | Review: "Can anyone survive the demented marauding zombies in..." The House by the Cemetery had a gruesome past for it was once the property of Dr. Freudstein - a dabbler in bizarre surgical practices. But Norman, his wife Lucy and their young son, Bob, know nothing of this when they rent the foreboding New England residence. Who will survive - and what will be left of them in the House where an unspeakable - and unstoppable - evil dwells. |
| House on the Edge of the Park (1980) | | Review: Nice type, Alex. If you didn't know him you could even be fooled when he amuses himself playing the "nice guy". For some time he's been wearing more than one necklace. He ripped it off a girl, Susan, whom he then raped and killed. His brain flipped. This happens often because Alex is just a dangerous vicious animal. He's happy tonight. He's about to leave the garage he uses as cover for recycling stolen cars. He wants to go out and have fun with Ricki. Ricki's a strange guy. He's highly strung and the slightest thing will crack him up. They're about to leave the garage when two kids, Tom and Liza arrive. Their fabulous car has something wrong with it. Alex refuses the $50 a day they offer him to repair it. His tone changes when he hears the two are going to a party. He becomes friendly and says that if they invite him and his friend Ricki the fun is guaranteed. Two violent hoodlums who rape and are prepared to kill. A pistol found by chance in a drawer, and no alternative but self-defence. This is the story he will give to the Police. A shot and Alex falls into the pool, which reddens with his blood. The cry of a mortally wounded beast, and then nothing more. The vendetta is accomplished, but at what price? |

| Island of Death (1975) | | Review: "The Lucky Ones Got Their Brains Blown Out!!" Some, they tore to pieces with a sword... Some, they decapitated with the sharp blade of a bulldozer... others, they burned to death with an aerosol torch... or they brutally crucified them... the lucky ones simply go their brains blown out. Christopher and Celia arrive on the island of Myconos for a quite winter vacation. They seem such a nice handsome couple, and they are so in love. Everyone likes them. But we are soon to discover that they are a couple of sick and perverted people, especially Christopher who thinks that God has given him the divine right to punish perversion and so he should deliver the innocent local people purified from the evil brought to the island by the foreign tourist who flock to Myconos throughout the year. | Love Camp 7 (1968) | | Review: "A Place Of Total Despair" Two young WAC officers volunteer to throw themselves into the unspeakable indignities and horrifying humiliation of a Nazi Love Camp. The camps are used entirely to service the pleasures and perversions of the Nazi Front Line Officers. Though, when their escape plan goes horribly awry, the two officers are trapped within the camp and then subjected to the lustful urges of Nazi sadists. |
| Madhouse (1981) | | Review: A strange bond exists between Julia, and her identical twin sister, Mary whom she has not seen for seven years.Their Uncle, Father James, persuades Julia that she must visit Mary in hospital, but he warns her that she may not recognize her sister who has been horribly deformed. At the hospital, Julia is startled by Mary's hideous appearance as the deformed sister suddenly grabs her wrists from the shadows and pulls her close, threatening to terrorise her again. That night, a guard in the hospital is attacked and killed by a dog. Julia's girlfriend, Helen, staying overnight is confronted by a vicious looking dog and a dead cat hanging in the corner. Terrified, she races down the stairs but the dog is too quick for her and attacks her throat. As the story develops, terror and evil become the main ingredients in this spine-chilling masterpiece. You will never forget it! |
| Mardi Gras Massacre (1981) | | Review: "Everbody is celebrating nobody hears the screams of the victims for sacrifice" The colourful Mardi Gras carnival will soon be under way, but a sinister murder creates a feeling of fear amongst clubland's prostitutes, when one of them is discovered horribly mutilated. The police investigate but cannot prevent the next death, so similar to the first and they suspect a ritual killer is at work. As the carnival takes to the streets, amongst the crowd is someone who plans his greatest sacrificial offering yet. |
| Night of the Bloody Apes (1968) | | Review: "They rip, they claw, they tear you to pieces!" When an incurable disease threatens the life of his son, an eminent surgeon is driven to desperate measures. A secret experimental transplant is his only hope, but in this case the donor isn't human - it's an ape! Only death lies at the end of this surgeon's knife, however. Although his son survives, he lives the life of a hideous mutant, half-man, half-ape. When the creature escapes, a small town finds itself in the fearful grip of uncontrollable carnage. While still presenting a front of respectability, the surgeon and his assistant set out to recapture the beast, restore normality to the son, and save the area from gory destruction. Will they succeed, or will the police lieutenant get to the bottom of the bloody affair first? This modern horror story is not for the squeamish or faint-hearted; it's a horrific catalogue of terror with no holds barred. |
| Night of the Demon (1980) | | Review: "An evil mutation embarks on a wave of brutal butchery" In shock and the pain after being found in the forest with his face mutilated and most of the skin burnt away, Professor Nugent insists that the American legend of the "Big Foot" monster is true. A number of horrific incidents are recalled in graphic flashbacks: the brutal murder of a local fisherman, the mutilation of a couple making love in their van, and the horrendous death of a young motor cyclist. All bear the gory signs of having been butchered by the demon. A group from the university's anthropology class, including the young daughter of the dead fisherman, set out to uncover the mystery. They disturb a Black Magic ritual, and force the truth from a hermit, Wanda. She had been raped by the monster, and gave birth to a mutation. The group are eventually trapped by the demon, only to die in the most gruesome bloodbath ever filmed. |

| SS Experiment Camp (1976) | | Review: A wartime German POW camp is the scene of horrifying experiments carried out on young women captives in pursuit of the fanatical Nazi objective of creating a master race. Amidst the degradation and cruelty a tender affair develops between an attractive French prisoner and a handsome German officer : but he, too, is about to suffer the cruellest operation of all... |
| Snuff (1976) | | Review: "A film that could only be made in South America, where life is CHEAP!" SNUFF - the movie they said no producer could make, no distributor would release, and no audience could stomach. This is the one and only original legendary atrocity shot by Monarch Films in South America and New York, where human life is cheap! The mystery and controversy surrounding this vicious and violent venture remains clouded to this day. Many of the actors and actresses who dedicated their lives to making this film were never seen or heard from again. Snuff is the film that went to far - an overwhelming assault on the senses that delves into a degree of delirium deeper than any ever achieved before. SNUFF contains scenes of sadism, bondage, bloodshed and mutilation too real to be simulated, too shocking to be ignored! Beautiful actresses, Satanic slaves, bestial initiations, and gruesome gore beyond belief caused this picture to be banned. Are the killings in this film real? You be the judge! |
| Tenebrae (1982) | | Review: "Terror Beyond Belief!" An American writer, Peter Neal (Anthony Franciosa), heads to Rome to promote his latest horror novel but while on route a female shoplifter is attacked in her home by a stranger in black leather gloves. The woman is brutally killed. As Peter is on a plane at the time it would seem the killing is unrelated but the woman's body was found with pages of his latest novel "Tenebrae" stuffed in her mouth. To connect the killing with him further Peter arrives at his hotel room and soon finds an envelope containing photo's of the murder scene and the Police begin questioning him. The turn of events are disturbing to Peter but his Agent (John Saxon) is eager to keep him in the public eye and get as much publicity as possible. It isn't long, of course, before more young women are found brutally murdered and photographs of the crime are delivered to the hotel room in plain brown envelopes. Peter Neal is determined to discover the person behind these horrific crimes. With the help of a small group of friends he begins an investigation and finds the most likely suspect right under his nose only for them to be brutally murdered too. As the story unfolds we see a series of obscure, but important, flashbacks and the web of intrigue gets ever more complex as betrayal, dark secrets and madness are brought into the open and lead to a brutal denouement. |
| Werewolf and the Yeti, the (1975) | | Review: "Two bloodthirsty beasts in deadly combat" There is no substantial proof that the Yeti exists, this strange link between man and animal that has eluded all scientific investigation. Professor Lacombe sets out to find the yeti and organizes an expedition to Tibet. A member of the team is attacked by strange creatures and is turned into a werewolf. The expedition is slaughtered by bandits, with Silvia, the professor's daughter the only survivor escaping to hide in the mountains. It is here that she is witness to a life and death struggle as the Yeti and the Werewolf demonstrate their savage ferocity in a bloody battle to finish with herself as the victor's prize. |

| Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue, the (1974) | | Review: "They tampered with nature - now they must pay the price..." From Spanish Director Jorge Grau comes this carefully constructed and beautifully photographed tale of the undead roaming the English countryside. Two traveling companions, George (Ray Lovelock) and Edna Simon (Christine Galbo), come across a small-town infested with the "living dead" that are satisfying their cannibalistic hunger on anyone they come across. Discovering that an agricultural machine using radiation waves is at the root of all the havoc, George and Edna fight for survival and their innocence as they are pursued by a relentless detective who is convinced they are responsible for the ghoulish acts of violence plaguing the countryside. All this leads to a gruesome showdown at the Manchester Morgue -- an ending that knots a horrifying twist in the lives of all involved! |
| Nightmare Maker (1981) | | Review: "She Was Lonely, He Was All She Had, No-one Would Take Him From Her- And Live... " The colourful Mardi Gras carnival will soon be under way, but a sinister murder creates a feeling of fear amongst clubland's prostitutes, when one of them is discovered horribly mutilated. The police investigate but cannot prevent the next death, so similar to the first and they suspect a ritual killer is at work. As the carnival takes to the streets, amongst the crowd is someone who plans his greatest sacrificial offering yet. |
| Possession (1981) | | Review: SHE CREATED A MONSTER AS HER SECRET LOVER! What started out as an overheated Berlin-set marital crisis becomes an increasingly bizarre and progressively more nauseating film that defies simple genre pigeon-holing - it's certainly horrific, as it's heroine's gradual embroilments in metaphysical notions of evil lead, via murder, adultery and corruption, to sexual congress with a hideous, slimy incarnation of the thing itself; very European, extremely impressive, undeniably gross, "Possession" is unique, if frequently repulsive, experience. YOU CAN'T LOOK AWAY. |
| Pranks (1981) | | Review: "When the kidding stops the killing starts!" Morgan meadows Hall, an isolated seven story dormitory stands empty. Corridors that were once filled with the vibrant shouting and laughter of students are now vacant. The structurally unsafe building has been condemned and soon must be torn down. Five college students volunteer to close the dorm during their Christmas vacation. Soon, however, out of the dark recesses of the quiet building emerges a haunting and lethal menace. Mysteriously all phone lines are cut and the students are plunged into the darkness of a powerless and increasingly frenzied gloom. In a series of grisly and barbaric incidents, the students begin to disappear. As the terror mounts and the high-pitched staccato of slaying continues, the remaining students realize that they are up against a terrifyingly real psychopathic killer. The memory filled halls of the dormitory now echo with the screams and death moans of the students and the corridors drip with the blood of the innocent victims. Once the object of nostalgic affection, Morgan Meadows Hall has been hideously transformed into the most suffocating nightmare imaginable. |
| Prisoner of the Cannibal God (1978) | | Review: "Their cult was death ... Their lust was for blood!" Dr.Foster on his weekly visit to the jungle base of Professor Stevenson finds the mutilated bodies of his assistants and no professor. When Stevenson's wife and brother learn of his disappearance and the fact that the area where he disappeared contains rich untapped uranium sources they persuade Foster to guide them to the area to search for both - Primitive tribes, cannibalistic rituals and a trail of death follow them. |
| Revenge of the Bogeyman (1982) | | Review: The Bogeyman is back in Uli Lommel's follow-up to "The Bogeyman", and this time heroine Lacey, (Suzanna Love) moves to L.A. six months after the supernatural murders in part 1. The lethal mirror shard from part 1 goes on the rampage again possessing the butler Joseph (Sholto Von Douglas). There's a lot of blood and gore while various household objects are supernaturally levitated and used to kill some creepy guests at a Hollywood party. There's black humour all the way to the graveyard ending which is strongly reminiscent of De Palma's "Carrie". |
| Shogun Assassin (1980) | | Review: "He whips out his sword and relieves his victims of their heads!" Astonishingly violent - Shogun Assassin tells the story of Lone Wolf, a powerful and feared 'masterless' samurai who lives a peacful existence with his wife and his son. When he refuses to swear allegiance to Kurando, the most vicious Shogun in Japanese history, Kurando orders the death of Lone Wolf's wife, Azame. Blinded by rage, he vows to avenge her death, taking his son Tizuro with him on the path of darkness and retribution. Soon Lone Wolf's sword is unleashed upon the evil Shogun's sons, the legendary 'Masters of Death' and finally the Shogun himself... |
| Slayer, the (1981) | | Review: "This time your nightmare is real" A disturbed artist (Kay) together with her husband (David) her Brother (Eric) and her sister in law (Brooke) fly out to an isolated house on a remote island for a holiday. Since her childhood Kay has suffered vivid nightmares featuring a supernatural and malevolent creature called 'the slayer'. Soon after their arrival Kay realises that she has been there before in her dreams and she becomes convinced that 'the slayer' is close by ready to stalk and then kill them all. Kays unease is dismissed by her companions until her husband goes missing, the first victim of 'the slayer'. More grisly deaths follow until Kay is alone in the house, a storm raging outside. She barricades herself in and waits for the figure from her nightmares to arrive. |
| Terror Eyes (1980) | | Review: "Step out into the forbidden..."Terror Eyes" will haunt you long after tonight." The young women attedning a Boston night school are terrorised by a mysteriuos killer who performs a bizzare ritual of decapitation on each of his victims. All the evidence points towards one of the teachers, but nothing is what it seems in this chilling story of fear and death. |
| Toolbox Murders, the (1977) | | Review: "Bit by bit?by bit he carved a nightmare!" Dead, in an incredibly gory multiple murder, are three attractive female victims, all second floor residents of the same apartment building. One has been killed with a battery powered hand drill, one bludgeoned to death with a claw hammer, and the final victim stabbed repeatedly with a screwdriver. The police are baffled. By nightfall there are no clues. Then the apartment of a would be stripper is broken into, and the girl is raped before she is brutally murdered by three-inch nails propelled from a nail gun. This is just the beginning. |
| Unhinged (1982) | | Review: "Violence Beyond Reason Victims Beyond Help!" When Terry, Nancy and Gloria, three pretty young college students crash their car in a driving rainstorm on the way to a rock concert, little do they realize that their troubles are just beginning. Waking up in a mysterious Victorian mansion in the middle of nowhere, they find themselves cut off from the outside world. They are taken in by Marion Penrose, a middle-aged spinster and her mother, Mrs. Penrose, a demented old woman with a pathological hatred for men. From here unfolds a violent tale of sexual repression turning again and again to savage brutality as it hurls towards its paralysing climax! |
| Visiting Hours (1981) | | Review: "In this hospital your next visit may be your last. So frighting you'll never recover".A psychopathic killer viciously attacks a women journalist when she returns home from a TV broadcast. She survives but the killer refuses to give up. And any girl who stands in his way is in for a similar treatment. The trail leads to a hospital where the journalist is at last cornered and finds that she has no one to turn for help? This exciting and superbly constructed exercise in terror stars Michael Ironside as the ripper who likes to photograph as well as murder his victims, Lee Grant as the terrified journalist and Wiliam Shatner (of Star Trek fame) as her TV producer boss. Visiting Hours is produced by Pierre David and Victor Solnicki, the men responsible for The Brood and Scanners and directed by Jean Claude Lord. |
| Witch Who Came From the Sea, the (1976) | | Review: "A Young Woman's Nightmare Of Incest And Castration!" Molly has a way with razors! She uses them with devastating effect. She cuts men down to size in an effort to revenge herself of her father's sexual perversions. |
| Women Behind Bars (1975) | | Review: "Welcome to prison, Ladies!" The lure of stolen diamonds - millions of pounds worth - is overwhelming for luscious Shirley Field who shoots her lover for possession of them, then gives herself up pleading a crime of passion. Given the mandatory short sentence, however, she has not bargained for the violence and sexual practices that make up everyday life in Central American women's prisons. She may know where the diamonds are hidden awaiting her release, but will she ever possess them? |
| Xtro (1982) | | Review: "Some extra-terrestrials aren't friendly!" A man mysteriously disappears one night, leaving family and friends to wonder what happened to him. He just as mysteriously appears three years later, seeming to be in perfect health, only not being able to remember what happened. All is not what it appears to be however. In the interval, aliens, who returned to Earth and impregnated a woman in order to create a perfect copy of the missing man, abducted him for their own purposes. He then returns to his family with an agenda -- win his son over as well as create more breeders for the aliens. |
| Zombie Creeping Flesh (1981) | | Review: "When the creeping dead devour the living flesh!" A centre producing synthetic nourishment for the Third World is rocked by a huge explosion. A cloud of toxic gas fills the air and asphyxiates the workers. They return as flesh-eating zombies - destroying villages and quenching their thirst for blood on the inhabitants? DEVOURING THEM ALIVE! A special squad is sent - their mission is to destroy the energy formula? and end the blood-crazed zombies rein of terror? |
| Abducted (1973) | | Review: They Were Abducted and Violated...but the Worse Was Yet to Come! Two very disturbed brothers kidnap women, take them to their secluded farmhouse and lock them in the basement. They seemingly do it for their mother (a la PSYCHO), who is only seen from behind, sits on a rocking chair and says, "Ah, it's good to have two fine boys!" |
| Blue Eyes of the Broken Doll, the (1973) | | Review: An ex-convict, troubled by dreams that he strangles women, is hired as the caretaker on an estate owned by three very strange sisters. Soon after his arrival, a serial killer begins slaughtering blonde, blue-eyed women - and leaving their eyeballs in a bowl of water. |
| Brutes and Savages (1977) | | Review: SEE 1,001 forbidden scenes never before filmed!! New! Different! Unusual! In Fantastic Brute Sound!! |
| Cataclysm (1980) | | Review: Police detective, Mitchell, investigating the death of a victim of a Nazi concentration camp discovers a nightclubbing playboy who has strange powers over women and is seemingly ageless. |
| City of the Living Dead (1980) | | Review: From the bowels of the earth they came to collect the living... In the small New England town of Dunwich, a priest commits suicide by hanging himself in the church cemetary which somehow opens the gates of hell allowing the dead to rise. Peter, a New York City reporter, teams up with a young psychic, named Mary, to travel to the town where they team up with another couple, psychiatrist Jerry and patient Sandra, to find a way to close the gates before All Saints Day or the dead all over the world will rise up and kill the living. |
| Confessions of a Blue Movie Star (The Evolution of Snuff) (1976) | | Review: Shocking, daring and frank. Pornographer Robert Furch makes a movie inspired by "Lysistrata," he says. A documentary crew films the casting call, Furch's 14-day shoot, a lighting technician's becoming an actor, and the aftermath of the suicide (before filming ends) of Claudia Fielers, the film's leading lady. Comments by Roman Polanski, Carl Amery, and an unseen narrator connect the possibility of snuff films to the process of a commercial enterprise such as this and Fielers' suicide. Furch pleads innocent, cloaking his work in Protestant virtues. His posturings and his direction are comical; the commentary may be tongue in cheek. What about the appended snuff footage? Is this documentary for real? |
| Dawn of the Mummy (1981) | | Review: They came from the dead ... to feast on the living... A group of fashion models disturb the tomb of a mummy and revive an ancient curse. Along with the mummy rising, slaves who were buried in the desert thousands of years before, also rise, with a craving for human flesh. |
| Death Wish (1974) | | Review: Vigilante, city style -- Judge, Jury, and Executioner Paul Kersey, New York Archtitect, is a bleeding-heart liberal whose world is suddenly torn apart by the murder of his wife and the rape of his daughter. After a vacation to Arizona, Kersey returns to New York with a vengeance against crime, and takes to vigilantism. |
| Demented (1980) | | Review: Revenge is sweet... and deadly. A woman is gang-raped in a horse's stable, and even though the rapists are caught and imprisoned, she is harassed many moons later by ghastly visions of her tormentors, while her husband philanders and every little thing frightens her out of her wits. |
| Demons, the (1972) | | Review: Erotic horror... Torture... Witchcraft. A possessed nun's kisses turn men into skeletons. NOTE. French dub, no subs |
| Deported Women of the SS Special Section (1976) | | Review: "Deported Women of the S.S. Special Section" is about the daily ins and outs of life in a Nazi women's prison. The women get to the camp and are given the usual medical tests to make sure they're healthy enough for torture. There is a long shaving sequence in which pubic hair goes under the razor. That was hilarious. It was all for health reasons of course. The commander of the camp becomes infatuated with one of the prisoners. He wants her to love him. He goes through various romantic wooing ideas, (humiliation, solitary confinement), until she decides to leave a present in her vagina for him in the climax. |
| Emanuelle Queen of Sados (1979) | | Review: After years of abuse at the hands of her husband, Emanuelle is pushed to the breaking point. She hires a hitman to do in her husband, but just when she thinks her troubles are at an end, the assassin blackmails Emanuelle. As her husband's business partner struggles to prove Emanuelle's guilt, and the hitman continues to threaten her new found security, Emanuelle struggles to keep her name clear, and to keep her naive stepdaughter from becoming tangled in the web of danger she has created. | [ Add all 64 links to your ed2k client ]

| Farewell Africa (1966) | | Review: From the producers of the Mondo Canes comes this violent document of a continent in transition; the change from white colonialism to independent black statehood. Often times, this resulted in the wholesale massacre of thousands of people and the indiscriminate extermination of wild life. Captured on film are mercenary killer squads wiping out entire villages, executions, Mau-Mau massacres and more! |

| Review: A women's prison camp is located deep in the tropical rain forest. Sadistic guards and a warden from hell make life almost unbearable for the inmates, and any infraction of the rules is dealt with swiftly and savagely. The camp doctor is horrified at what he sees happening, and drinks heavily to push the horror away. Finally the inmates have had had enough, and they enlist the help of the doctor to try and escape. |
| Ilsa Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks (1975) | | Review: Ilsa's back! ...More fierce than ever! With brutal fury she enslaved an empire and shocked the world! Finding a new employer, and looking not a day older since the end of World War II, Ilsa works for an Arab sheik who enjoys importing females to use as sex slaves. An American millionaire's daughter, a movie star, and an attractive equestrian are among his latest victims. |
| In the Realm of the Senses (1976) | | Review: Based on a true story set in pre-war Japan, a man and one of his servants begin a torrid affair. Their desire becomes a sexual obsession so strong that to intensify their ardor, they forsake all, even life itself. This is definately not your average tale this one. A story of two lovers sexually obsession. Very graphic, but not in an arousing way for the viewer (ok, not for me but i can't speak for everyone). The main character Sada is a seriously disturbed individual, her obsession with her lover amazing. As for her lover, would you let a woman who put a knife to your throat & threaten to remove your genitals if you sleep with another woman strangle you for erotic pleasure? Think this story is in the realm of the imagination, it not. This was a true story. Worth a look. Not for those easily disturbed or offended by images on film |
| Jekyll Experiment, the (1982) | | Review: Dr. Jekyll is a sadistic, evil, terrifying madman--you'll love him! The great grandson of the original Dr. Jekyll kidnaps people and experments on them with the aggression serum created by his great grand dad. |

| Review: Positively the most horrifying film ever made. Udo Kier is a witch hunter apprentice to Herbert Lom. He believes strongly in his mentor and the ways of the church but loses faith when he catches Lom strangling Reggie Nalder to death for calling him impotent. Kier begins to see for himself that the witch trials are nothing but a scam of the church to rob people of their land, money, and other personal belongings of value and seduce beautiful big breasted women. In the end, the towns people revolt, Herbert Lom escapes and poor Udo is tortured to death by the towns people with the his own torture devices. This film contains very strong graphic torture including a women's tongue being ripped out of her head, nuns being raped(in the opening credits), and lots of beatings. |
| Pink Flamingos (1972) | | Review: An exercise in poor taste. Sleaze queen Divine lives in a caravan with her mad hippie son Crackers and her 250-pound mother Mama Edie, trying to rest quietly on their laurels as 'the filthiest people alive'. But competition is brewing in the form of Connie and Raymond Marble, who sell heroin to schoolchildren and kidnap and impregnate female hitchhikers, selling the babies to lesbian couples. Finally, they challenge Divine directly, and battle commences... |
| Poor Albert and Little Annie (1972) | | Review: Haunting desires seething in his mind lead to a night of ghastly atrocities! Albert tried to kill his rich snobby mother once. Then he was institutionalized. Now he's escaped. Albert is after his mother again. And he will torture and kill anything that lays in the way... |
| Scream For Vengeance! (1979) | | Review: Everyone has a boling point...then comes the... Four hoodlums break into a jewellers house and brutally murder him, his wife and daughter. On the run they kidnap Jenny, a Senator's grand daughter and her boyfriend, but discover that the two will not be taken easily. In the melee that follows, the gang are blown away one by one, until the final vengeful confrontation between Jenny and the remaining gang member. |
| Story of O (1975) | | Review: The beautiful O is taken by her boyfriend, Rene, to a bizarre retreat, where she is trained in bondage and sexual perversion. Rene discharges a personal debt by transferring possession of O to his step-brother, Sir Stephen... Trivia: While the film could be seen in several U.K. cinemas with special permission, the film was not passed by the BBFC until 2000, and only after 8 minutes had been cut from it. This English dubbed version is the same as the pre-cert and is cut. The uncut version has been shown on UK terrestrial TV in French with English subs. |
| Straw Dogs (1971) | | Review: The knock at the door meant the birth of one man and the death of seven others! Dustin Hoffman plays a regular American mathematician, who gets into some trouble with local bullies. He is made fun of and then his wife is raped. When they attack his home, he fights back. His outbreak of violence is extreme. |
| Terror (1978) | | Review: Sister Cristina (Florinda Bolkan) plays a nun who takes the teenage girls in her care to a remote house where they rehearse A Midsummer Night's Dream. Three thugs show up, brutally raping and terrorizing the girls, killing one by raping her with a cane, until Bolkan renounces her teachings and seeks bloody revenge. |
| Terror Express (1979) | | Review: Three thugs commandeer a couple of cars on a moving train and spread terror among the passengers. Terror Express is another entry into the Last House on the Left sub-genre that emerged in the 70s. To its credit its one of the more enjoyable films full of sleazy characters and a top-notch cast. Look out for Zora Kerova's double entry scene, the weirdo father who secretly wants to make love to his daughter, and Carlo De Mejo in an almost hardcore sequence involving the said daughter. Jesus how could anyone ever describe this film as dull? Not for the easily offended for sure but definitely one for the collection of any Italian horror-sleaze merchant. |
| Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the (1974) | | Review: The year is 1974. A group of 20-something college students are heading through the back roads of Texas en route to their grandfather's grave. Among them are Sally Hardesty (Burns) and her brother Franklin. They encounter an unpleasant hitchhiker (Neal) who slashes both himself & Franklin with a wicked-looking knife. The others manage to eject the hitchhiker from the vehicle, but shortly afterwards, they are forced to stop & wander over to a small, sinister clapboard house nearby. What none of them realize is that this house is the home of the ghoulish Leatherface (Hansen) and his evil, demented family of cannibalistic psychopaths. One at a time, the students are murdered for food by the evil Leatherface in horrifying ways. Sally soon finds herself an involuntary guest at Leatherface's home, and flees into the night to escape the demented cannibal and his loudly-buzzing chainsaw. Can she escape the grim fate that befell her friends & brother? Based on the terrifying true story of Ed Gein. |
| Adult Fairytales (1978) | | Review: On his twenty-first birthday, the Prince goes on a quest that takes him across the land searching for the one woman that gets him sexually excited, Princess Sleeping Beauty. |
| Andrea the Nympho (1968) | | Review: She's everything a man desires! Andrea is a young woman with innocent looks, but a ravishing sexual appetite. By using her sexuality she can get most anything she wants, but as each days passes she gets deeper and deeper into a world that she despises and fears she will never escape. |
| Around the World With Fanny Hill (1973) | | Review: More fun than Fanny! More Fanny than funny! In Stockholm, Fanny Hill is tired of being a housewife, and she suspects that her husband Roger, a TV-commercial director who's surrounded by starlets, is cheating on her. So, she sets a trap for him with her friend Monica, files for divorce, and heads to Hollywood, with Monica, to meet film stars. She falls into a film career, with lots of nude scenes, and as it takes her from L.A. to Hong Kong and Venice, Roger follows her, jealous, hoping to win her back. In every city, she acts and she seduces, making comedy out of both; but does her heart still belong to Roger? It's on to Munich to find out. |
| Assault (1970) | | Review: If you go down in the woods today... After one schoolgirl is raped while taking a short cut through the local woods, and another is murdered in the same woods a few days later, the local police are baffled. With the help of a reporter from one of the local papers, and against the wishes of a psychologist at the local hospital, a young teacher at the school the girls attended uses herself as bait to lure the perpetrator out. Could it be the creepy husband of the head mistress at the school, the psychologist who seems to be taking an unusual interest in the case, or something altogether more sinister? |
| Behind Convent Walls (1977) | | Review: A zealous, handsome priest, who is the confessor for a convent full of women, encourages the equally zealous abbess of one such institution to enforce the same strict rules on these unfortunate women that are applied to others. In doing so, they uncover a snake pit of sexual couplings, both lesbian and heterosexual, as well as many tools for masturbation. At the same time, a particularly disturbed inmate manages to poison herself and many of the other novitiates in yet another scandal which is covered up by church authorities. |
| Best of Sex and Violence, the (1981) | | Review: Hollywood's sexiest and most violent movie moments! Hosted by John Carradine, this tape is a compilation of scenes from and previews for various exploitation films. |
| Bizarre (1969) | | Review: Unisex explodes in the film they tried to stop A brainy sex flick with a sense of humor, the film begins with a narrator/mummy who guides us through a number of vignettes promising to show what some of us go through in the pursuit of sexual pleasure. There's a fabulous ten minute opening, where the half naked go go dancers have vegetables thrown at them. One of the tales features a female photographer who tortures a male model. Another has a female burglar (Cathy Howard) caught by the house owner. The craziest involves a nerd hiring a blond call girl (Sue Bond) in pursuit of a menage-a-trois with his pet lizard; and there's a endearing misadventure with secret agent Lindy Leigh (Maria Frost) who does topless safecracking. |
| Black Emanuelle White Emanuelle (1976) | | Review: A shocking story filled with love... lust... hate... and above all passion! In the pre-civil war American south, Emanuelle, a plantation owner's daughter, while outwardly a dainty southern belle, brutally abuses the slaves in her charge. When her fiance is bitten by a snake, he falls for Emanuelle's beautiful African-American maid who's kindness and skill saved his life. Insanely jealous, Emanuelle continues her sadistic behaviour towards her charges, and when her fiance announces he plans to wed the maid, Emanuelle "gives" her to her even more brutal hired men, and her fiance is powerless to stop them. Can Emanuelle learn an important lesson in love before it's too late for everyone? |
| Blood Vengeance (1975) | | Review: Tortured by his lust for two women. This is one of the more bizarre entries in the Emanuelle series, playing more like a sex-themed giallo. Emanuelle (Lindt) is out to avenge her sister (Gori), who committed suicide after escaping from her sadistic lover Carlo (Eastman). So she chains him up in her basement, drugs him, and forces him to watch her having sex. Carlo starts hallucinating all kinds of bloody horrors and cannibalistic doings, so he decides he has to break free and kill Emanuelle. |
| Bloodrage (1979) | | Review: If he wants you.... he'll get you A country boy murders the town whore when she threatens to tell his mother that he didn't bring any money for her. So he flees to New York, where he finds that he likes killing women, and a cop from back home follows him... |
| Caged Women (1975) | | Review: The first Franco/Erwin Dietrich effort is probably Franco's most exploitive film with numerous sadistic scenes of torture and perversion. A true exploitation masterpiece that only a director like Franco could make. Maria (Lina Romay) is sentenced to prison for life for killing her father that attempted to rape. She is sent to a special section of the jail know for it's cruel and sadistic treatment of prisoners. The wardress (Monica Swinn) is a sadistic lesbian who knows no mercy and takes pleasure in her job. Maria seduces a male nurse who she eventually kills in order to spring an escape from the hellhole. A must for all fans of sadistic WIP films and for Jess Franco addicts. Also stars Franco regulars Paul Muller, Martine Stedilm and Eric Falk. |
| Centerfold Girls, the (1974) | | Review: The most beautiful girls in the world! He was their JUDGE... JURY... and EXECUTIONER! A depraved religious fanatic sets out to punish all the "immoral" women who have posed for the center-fold of a men's magazine. |
| Come Play With Me (1977) | | Review: Entertainingly funny and blushingly saucy. A health-resort where both the clients and the employees easily take their clothes off and have a litte fun is the setting of this hugely popular sex-comedy. |
| Confessions of a Young American Housewife (1978) | | Review: When a frustrated woman's innermost fantasies become a reality... Carol, a beautiful young happily married woman, lives in New York with her husband and enjoys her wonderful sex life. Things just could not get better. That is until her mother comes to stay with her and emotions from their torrid past come back to Carol. What follows can only be described as a sheer orgy of seduction and eroticismn. | [ Add all 44 links to your ed2k client ]

| Cruel Passion (1977) | | Review: Tagline: No woman suffered more... Based on the Marquis de Sade's Justine and played by a young Koo Stark, whose desire to follow the path of virtue and goodness only leads her to despair, rape and torment. | Dirty Mind of Young Sally, the (1972) | | Review: She's radio's answer to Fanny Hill - turn her on and she'll turn you on! Her throat will really get you up... in the morning! Sally runs a mobile "pirate" radio station--which she operates from her van--where, in her sexy and sultry voice, she encourages her listeners (mostly teenagers) to use the music she plays "to ball by". She also takes calls from her listeners and even offers herself as a prize in a contest. Her show is so popular it winds up "turning on" large numbers of the local population. The authorities, of course, can't allow that to happen, so they send out the cops to find her and shut her down. |

| Emily (1976) | | Review: Evokative of the Roaring Twenties, "Emily" is an erotic coming-of-age film featuring meticulous period detail and music. The sharp class distinctions of British society are blurred by the universal nature of sexual desire. |
| Erotic Tales (1980) | | Review: The sexual delights of some very beautiful women! Three women are secretly plush prostitutes. They are successively called by a mysterious person to have sex with three different men and assuage their weird fantasies. |
| Evil Come, Evil Go (1972) | | Review: No man is safe from the "Preacherwoman" - she's a Man-Hating, Hymn-Humming Hell Cat! Sister Sarah Jane is a Bible-thumping nutcase(dressed like Baby Jane Hudson) who travels from town to town preaching the evils of pleasurable sex on streetcorners and wowing crowds with her lovely hymns(not only is she God's golden-throated songbird, she also plays the accordion). By night, Sarah frequents bars, intent on luring "sinful" men to their bloody deaths. By-and-by, she acquires a loyal accomplice(a really naff lesbian with plenty of dough), and together they become a holy force to be reckoned with. Rotgut sexploitation that must be seen by anyone who loves tasteless sleaze films, "Evil Come Evil Go" had tongue lodged firmly in cheek, never once trying to retain seriousness or credibility. Over-the-top and nasty as all Hell, this one's recommended. |

| What Schoolgirls Don't Tell (1973) | | Review: What School Girls Don't Tell Another Ernst Hofbauer schoolgirl exploiter in the same vein as his Schoolgirl Report films, but for this one he raised the sleaze level to new heights with non-pornographic scenes of rape, pedophilia, satanic rituals, virgin sacrifice and golden showers. Despite how it sounds, these acts are played for silly comedy rather than any harsh deptictons. |

A tribute to the spirit and humanity of people who are physically different from the average: very tall and very large men and women, a bearded woman and her long-time husband, Siamese twins joined at the midsection, and several little people including actor Billy Barty. We meet some at Gibsonton, Florida, where carnival folk winter. They talk about their lives and accomplishments. The camera also goes on the road to visit a grandfather with a distinctive face, a legless mechanic from Kentucky on a second honeymoon in LA, a marathon runner and motivational speaker who has no feet, a karate student with partial limbs, and an armless, down-to-earth mom in Texas. |

| Cemetery of the Living Dead (1965) | | Review: Terror rises from the Grave. This movie has a great atmosphere, graphic special effects makeup (for the time) and a wonderful soundtrack. If anything is lacking, the ending seems a bit rushed. I recommend the VHS version that Something Weird released a few years back. It is struck from an immaculate print and contains the European version of the movie-this includes a brief topless shot (unfortunately not of Barbara Steele but she does emerge from her bath in a subsequent tantalizing scene.) The Alpha Video DVD release is taken from a rather scratchy print and is minus the nudity but is available for less than $6.00. This Italian shocker would be a welcome addition to any Euro film collection. |

In between the overlong dramatic pauses, we learn that Melissa is in fact a 120-year-old witch, and her remarkably spry "great-grandmother," Lucinda, is actually her sister, who has been pitchforking people to death in her spare time. WOW... What an amazing collection. Brilliant work, George.
I'm really looking forward to start tracking down alot of these movies.
A lot of the movies looked really awesome.
I even saw the cover I remembered from my childhood. I asked here a long time ago, but no-one knew which movie. The movie was apperently "Touch of Satan, the (1971)"

WOW! That's a huge piece of work George
Got some odd issues with the framing though, I've had a look.
You need to cut off before cannibal Ferox, the post is truncated 1/2 way through the last link

Thanks PC_A, that should be fixed now,. I had to edit as far down as Nightmare Maker for it to work though
I used the default split collection in parts of 64000 bytes, guess I'll have to reduce that next time I have any major editing to do.
Now has anyone any idea why it doesn't fit on the screen horizontally @1024x768?
