Whoa! This is fucking amazing! I'm a newbie here and I come across the hole collection of the 1984 Video Nasties!!

I nearly could say that I'm shocked. Hmm, I just want to ask two questions: What's the most uncut version that there is of The Last House on the Left? And if there's an uncut version of the Mountain of The Cannibal God? (And if somebody could please post them...).

Well guys, I'll let you do your work. I'm sorry I cannot contribute on sharing movies, I do only download due to my very limited hardware capabilities and speed connection, I know it's not very community-like and maybe it sounds a bit egoistic, but when the machine is what it is... :oops:

This is the best version available: ed2k: Last.House.on.the.Left-uncut[Unique].avi [700.71 Mb] [Stats] Most 'uncut', until the day for 'Ultimate Edition' comes. :wacky:

As for uncut version of Mountain of The Cannibal God. Haven't found it yet. Hopefully someone releases it soon.

The cuts in the Vipco release are as follows

Two small cuts to the opening credits, one is a crocodile snapping at a turtle, can't remember the other one.

In the scene around 23 minutes showing monkeys in the trees and a snake on the ground, the entire scene of the snake killing the monkey is cut. This is a really sick scene, don't believe what other websites have said about it paling into insignificance alongside Cannibal Holocaust etc, it doesn't. The turtle in CH was killed in seconds, this took about 2 minutes. None of the attempts at justifying CH apply here, the monkey was obviously not eaten by the cast and bears no resemblence to the plot whatsoever. Sergio Martino claimed they just filmed it happening but http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077945/ says

It was considered to be the full uncut version until Anchor Bay released the Directors Cut which adds a bestiality scene, don't know any further info as I've not seen it.

As you may have gathered I am not a fan of the uncut version and I don't have a copy of this anymore, personally I prefer the Vipco cut version although I'd like to see the additional scenes in the Directors Cut.

Now as for The Mountain Of the Cannibal God, well I'm a bit sick of animal violence, but that's what it is and it would be good to have the two versions of the film, wouldn't it?

Hope you didn't think I was moralising, as I said it was a personal opinion. I just started listing the cuts, maybe I shouldn't have said what I did but IMO this is by far the modt disturbing scene in any of the 74 nasties and I've seen 'em all. It would be a bit hypocritical of me if I had said don't watch this as I bought the EC Entertainment DVD fully expecting that I would swap it once I'd watched it, but my quest to see the whole collection was nearly complete by this time. The imdb quote wasn't there at this time and I had seen 2 websites that said this movie paled into insignificance next to Holocaust, Ferox etc whereas I disagree, that's all I was saying.

And I still wouldn't mind seeing the additional Director's Cut footage :wink:

Watch out for more info on cuts in the near future, I am working on it but it's quite a big job as many of the VN's have been released cut, and I have other stuff I am helping out on in a couple of collections.

Hey George Tatum, don't worry, I think your point was totally clear. It was just me saying that I really despise animal violence but I would see it as the movie it is and what it represents. I totally understood you were not moralising. :wacky:

Same here.

I really don't like to watch that real animal cruelty stuff at all and ain't waiting to see this that much, but as I always go after the most uncut version, this one too is a must have for me.

Hopefully someone can post that Anchor Bay Dir-Cut so we can add one more fully uncut VN to the collection.

Ok,just watched the version I got...the scenes George talks about are not there,there is a brief glimps of the monkey and snake scene but no monkey at all beeing shown eaten.So I would take a chance here and say it is probably the Vipco version and NOT the Anchor Bay since that version does show the monkey scene,although I am not sure if it is in its entirety.This version does show all the other violence including the castration scene and cannibalism with other parts of natives eating snakes and other reptiles(I guess if the Monkey was eating the snake they would have shown it).The runtime is 92:26 so I guess we need to look for another version floating around or one of the crew grab it up and rip it from here.Sorry to throw confusion in the works here but you know how it is with these damned Italian films.I'll check some of the underground sites and see if there is a longer version than Anchor Bays which runs at 103 minutes. :beerchug:

Correct, the bird doesn't die. Are you sure the title is "Slave of the Mountain God" not "Slave of the Cannibal God"? I'd check the castration scene in this as I'm fairly sure that scene is missing in all prints with this title
