I was waiting. Just tried right now and succeeded a few times. I don't know what the difference was, then. Sorry for the spam.

Oh, I thought you were having me stand corrected. Hahaha!
I think maybe it could have something to do with the database crash? It was the first day after that crash that search went so slow. Now it looks fine again. It's the only difference I can think of.

I'm not sure what the behaviour would be if the session table was locked.
The abort code essentially compares a timestamp in your session to the current clock time of the server.
There's only one circumstance i can think of where the server would reject all request and that's if the clock was an hour or so behind on the server. In that circumstance you'd have to wait longer since you'd be "in the future".
That would explain it but the time seems right now so i can't prove it was the case

It looks like I came across another little bug on the site.
Once again it is considering the site that is loaded after you enter "www.dead-donkey.com" into your browser. (The news site).
At the bottom of each news entry there is a small note with information about the one who posted the news entry. This information contains a link with the user's name to the user's profile page. But the user-id is missing in the link.
So after you click the link you get a page that says "Sorry, but that user does not exist.".
Example link:

Lots of avatars, including my own, aren't showing (I get the famous little red cross). My avatar is still there at Imageshack, so I don't really get it.
