Hello, I have set up a new server. Seems we were very, very, very old (I found some code written in 2005 which needless to say doesn't work). If you would like to help test, please add the following hosts file entry: Code: | 51.254.44.87 dead-donkey.com fileheaven.dead-donkey.com fileheaven.org sbig.dead-donkey.com www.dead-donkey.com testing forum.dead-donkey.com scifi.dead-donkey.com
|
On mac and linux you can simply: sudo vi /etc/hosts and add the line. On windows, you must navigate to: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc Right click on the hosts file, go to properties, click security, click edit, click add, search for your user and hit "Check Names", then ok it.. Now click (Allow) Full Control in the check boxes, and then apply/ok all the dialogues. You can now right click on hosts and open with notepad. Paste the above line on a new line. Restart your browser and you should be on the new server. Please test functionality, and come back and report any bugs. Don't forget to remove this line from your hosts file when you've finished testingKnown Bugs:Frontpage login doesn't work. Tested:Unicode seems to work, please check some fancy nfos. Search Site Search Posting Login Email (I registered and got an email) Fixedlots of php errors fixed. Search gets corrupted on forum.dead-donkey.com but dropping words and rebuilding indexes does the job.

it probably does, just don't use it from a subpage, navigate to a listing page. There's an issue with sessions when there are get parameters. Try login from here: https://www.dead-donkey.com/modules/sha ... ion=moviesCode: | username|s:7:"^Rogue^";user_id|s:4:"1533";logged_in |
edit: oh i think i spotted the bug too, so it will work from all pages now.

Hey Spud,
tried it from the listings page. Still can't log in. As soon as I do anything that refreshes the page (like click 'add a movie'), I'm logged out again.

Deleting mp cookie seems to have done the trick.

I'm deleting a few things on the www side of things, to clean up the code. I also added a bit of security protection on there too.

Hey Spud,
something's still not working properly. I have to delete my mp cookie before I login every time. Otherwise login doesn't work.

I think you might be using dead-donkey.com instead of http://www.dead-donkey.com? I wonder if its some redirects of something. I've been able to post one of your movies, etc.

Hi Spud, first off, thanks. I've just tried both: result's the same, I can't login. I normally click on the site logo top left to go to the mp and login from there if that helps. Tried this one as well, no luck.

Tried password recovery, strangely that did the trick.

Doesn't make sense to me either, but I'll take it.
