I've been using this stripped-down version of WindowsXP Pro SP2 Corporate for
about several months now. It's quick to install, and it's stable! It's great for small
hard drives. You'll notice not very many services running in the background, too. It boots fast and shuts down quick.

If you're ever in the need for an extremely light version of XP, then this disc will
be right for you. You'll still be able to get on-line and do everything else, except
that you won't have all the BS that Microsoft forces you to install - that you will
never use.

Grabbed this off the mule after someone on another forum mentioned it to me. Seems like a good option for people with limited HDD space. Also, it is supposed to install in about 10 minutes.

No linkies, but if you want it, you'll know how to find it. ;)

There is also a 125MB version out:

eXPerience Proudly Presents...

"Mini-XP"

Windows XP Pro SP2 Unattended

Thank you for your interest in this stripped out 125Mb
Edition of XP. I clocked mine in Task Manager using
only 49Mb of RAM. Windows XP usually uses 300Mb of
RAM at the best of times. This "Mini-XP" takes up
only 500Mb total space on your system's hard drive.

By using only 50Mb of RAM, this allows
your PC to run fast, I mean VERY fast!

All important hardware drivers and other essentials
have been kept in this release - no more problems
with those stupid Alcatel stingray modems. You have
joystick support, printer support, ISDN, and other
bare essentials. This Windows XP Edition CAN have
MS Office installed, it is also supported! You still
have your calculator, Wordpad and of course, MS Paint.

GONE is that nasty Internet Explorer! It does not
exist in this Edition. You will have to install
Firefox or Opera or any other browser to access
the internet. ALSO GONE is Windows Media Player.
You will have to grab some kind of player from
somewhere if you want to play stuff. GONE also
are all Windows noises like startup and shutdown
noises, but audio does work. However, there is
no support for scanners in this Edition.

This XP Pro SP2 Unattended is tiny @ just 125Mb!

Windows XP Pro Custom Added Features...

Custom eXPerience? Wallpaper
NT Registry Tweaks for Performance, Gaming, Internet and much more

Integrated XP "Post SP2" Windows Updates (Hotfixes) 23rd June 2005...

A mate said about this earlier in the week, might have to take a look soon.

On a sidenote, anyone got a decent link to xp 64bit? I tried and found fuck all, atleast nothing that I could verify was even in english.

TaK, there's a rel of x64 Corp Edition on Sharevirus here: http://sharevirus.com/modules.php?op=mo ... =0&thold=0

ed2k: xp64.corp-xiso.bin  [643.74 Mb] [Stats]
ed2k: xp64.corp-xiso.cue  [80 Bytes] [Stats]
ed2k: xp64.corp-xiso.nfo  [7.1 Kb] [Stats]

Downed it some time ago and only burned recently, so I have no idea if it works and how (will probably try installing it on a mate's PC next month). Appears to be English though.

xp64.corp-xiso.bin

Different hash,same one.

I've installed it a while ago and it runs smoothly, accept for
still missing drivers for my printer, scanner and desktopset,
which aren't available yet. ANd yes,it's in English.

So I'm on a dualboot now with the 32-bits version (mine is Dutch).

To be honest : I don't notice any difference. But next year we'll
try the Vista-thingie

Kareltje538 and Union, cheers guys. For some real reason that one will not show up in searches, despite the number of sources I now see.

I went for yours Kareltje538 simply because it has many more sources.

You're welcome...

That's the one I have on my HDD. And odly enough you're right
about it not showing up in the search-funtion,so I hashed mine
and after that it shows up with more sources
