You're welcome Emperor (remembering PC_Arcade who poduced these files in the first place :beerchug:

). I'm just helping them along for others.

I'd like to add that these 4 files should be quite well spread now - I've uploaded a fair few MBs, but I'll leave them on solely with my emule for a fair bit yet if anyone else wants them.

I've finally modded my XBOX over this last weekend and I am SO GLAD that I did, many many many thanks to PCA for his guide and advice and to everyone who shared the files on eMule.

The hardest part was setting up the PC to XBOX FTP, which seems a bit flaky but seems to be okay now.

When I FTP to my XBOX what should I have running on it? I tried connecting on the Lite Dash and it couldn't, but it did when I switched to UnleashX, so presumably I need this running to make a connection, yes?

Also, all NTSC video (both files and DVDs) is being converted to PAL, which results in a slight jerkiness. How to I get the XBOX to output PAL as PAL and NTSC as NTSC?

There's lots of stuff to play with and configure now, this toy will keep this geek busy for weeks! :lol:

A few people have had trouble with that bit, I've never had a problem so I don't know why, glad you got it working though :beerchug:

Yes, the only reason it runs 2 dashes (my choice) is a nice simple one for the day to day usage (kid safe too, you can't delete files with it) and one for maintenance and FTP etc..
If you want to change dashes it's easy to do and I can (and will at some point) provide a guide as to how to do so.

What are you using to play the files? If it's XBMC then make sure adjust framrate is turned OFF and pal60 is turned on in both XBMC AND in the lite dash. If you want to make absolutely sure to run @ the correct framrate, there's a utility called "Enigmah video mode switcher" which will switch between PAL and NTSC.

That's why I like the xbox so much, it's cheap, easy and you can do LOADS with it.

Actually, PC_A's Homemade Action Replay guide is spot on, and I'll follow the softmodding guide once other issues are resolved. :roll:

(Just remember to read the bit about the YELLOW wire in the AR guide. :lol:

What bit about the yellow wire? When i made it, there was nothing on the yellow wire (or i didn't read well) but just connected it to the other sides yellow wire.

Not on the conroller no, It's used for optical controllers (lightguns) only AFAIK

LOL I see where you are coming from spud. God that was a good episode too, maybe even my favourite. Series 6 on DVD 21 Feb, got it preordered at play - no toys this time though. Boo!!

Did another Xbox this morning, this time with AUF instead of Mechassault and it went like a breeze. Only took me 30 minutes to do as well.

Proof at least that AUF works OK too.
