Yeah, thanks once more to PC_Arcade. The one I did this morning has earned me a crate of beer. Whilst I'd love to send you some nice cool Keo beer through the post PCA as a thank you, I doubt it would survive the journey.

Instead I'll sup it all myself - with you in mind of course :beerchug: hic!

Just make one yourself, it's really extremely easy.

Does any of you guys have experience with XBconnect? Does it work well, how is the performance, etc.
I did a little bit of research and expect myself needing quite some time to get it working, which will be completely wasted if it's bad.

Wow, you're quick man :o . I guess i'll give it a try then, not that i'm planning on playing online a lot but i'd like to give it a chance (probably just curiosity). I'm quite bad with networking and stuff so i hope it won't take me more than one day.

I'm already on... Just played a game of Halo2. I had a lot of lag though :( Might be because of eMule but it works for now, much quicker than i expected!

hi, im softmodding my xbox now, it's a 1.6b... what the best bios for my xbox?

Quote:
PBL Metoo
NKPatcher
PBL 1.4.1
PBL Lite

If you chose one of the PBL variants, you will be given a choice of bios, 1.6 owners (K:5838+) should choose Evox M8, everyone else should select X2 4981

You have to choose PBL metoo and Evox M8+ Bios

I'm intrigued as to how you know it's a 1.6b though, did you take it apart?

well, i successfully softmodded my xbox, i used sc game and my home made action replay :beerchug:
err actually im not 100% sure that my xbox is a 1.6b, i think i just read your guide wrong so it could be a 1.6 or a 1.6b :D
Quote:
It is impoortant to know whether you have a v1.6(b) Xbox or not, the 4 digit number to the right of the "K:", if this number is 5838 you have a 1.6(b) xbox.
