whats DVD+9?...i've heard about DVD9 and DVD5 but +9?


and whats the score on the pioneer 107D....is there anything i can do that may make this drive any more use than it already is?....whats all these firmwares for etc etc......it all baffles me

Well double layer = DVD+9 (DL+r) and dual layer = DVD-9 (DL-r)


Firmware upgrades for the 107 are burning 2/4 speed media at a higher speed setting, Region Free, etc. DVD-9 hasn't hit the market yet, so there's nothing overly amazing it can do.

ah nothing worth me doing to my 107 then.....i can use my other dvd drive for playing/ripping region 1 dvd's and i'm not bothered about burning media faster....so everythings good and i am actually surprised at how much i like my dvd burner in comaprison to just writing cdr's, it's just heaven clearing 4gig in one hit
