Hi, is there any chance one can watch 3D movie on tv set or computer with some special glases, or the 3D is made only for the cinema and not for the dvd format ?

I would love to see F13th part 3 in 3D or Jaws ;)

Thx

you could always try one of those good ol 3D glasses that they gave you when you went to see that kinda stuff in the cinema, the ones with red & green glasses (1 red & 1 green)

dunno if it will work on the telly though...

Some films have been released on DVD in 3D. Kinda subpar most of the time. Don't laugh, but the best I've seen is Shrek 4D. Usually the DVD will come with some glasses appropriate for the type of 3D used. Wasn't Creature From The Black Lagoon laboriously filmed in 3D? Be nice to see that on DVD.

Certainly doesn't work with F13 3D nor Flesh For Frankenstein 3D, google for shutter glasses.

yeah freddy`s dead had some interesting 3d sequences...looked ok at the cinema.....and slightly less uk on my pirate VHS.

Creature From The Black Lagoon was filmed in anaglyphic 3d, but i only ever saw it presented in 3d at a film festival where the lighting was too bright...looked ok but not great...although Johnathon Ross praises the 3d quality in his Incredibly Strange Film book.

Jaws 3d was excellent 3d in some scenes at the cinema.....all the scenes that didnt involve the shark basically....more the random scenes like the jumping frog and the hypodermic needle scenes.

"D usually looks like crap on tv, but now wre getting larger and more hi def tv`s theres no reason why it shouldnt look good.....but leets drop the red & blue eh......Jaws 3D had polarised lenses like sunglasses that didnt give you a headache like the twin color ones did.....

......and lets see a "original" 13 Ghosts with the ghost viewers eh!

I remember a post with lots of various methods of making 3d images somewhere on this forum, anyone else remember it?

Might of been an old school post, by monkeysmasher or someone

A few other posts about 3D viewing can be found by searching for "glasses".

I have seen Creature from the black lagoon in 3d, a night I will never forget......

It was a fundraiser for my local public indie radio station, and they were showing the film at a swimming pool! Since this was obviously the coolest thing ever, me and my friends were first in line to buy tickets for the big event. Unfortunately on the night, the screen was small, the picture was blurry as hell, the weather was cold and the pool was outdoors and not heated, they neglected to mention that you had to pay a seperate deposit for the 3d glasses, and most people figured out that the glasses were made of highly obsorbant cardboard after they grabbed them and dove straight into the pool, at which point the arms would fall off and the red and blue cellophane would float up to the surface on their own........

Yes, I'll never forget that night, and nor will the radio station, since they have never had a similar fundraiser again......

Gah! :matrix:
